 Monitoring Traffic in Load Balanced Environments
With TOTAL VIEW PLUS and a Mul View Sensor, you can monitor traffic on several load balanced links and
view those reports as if they came from a single virtual link. The Mul View Sensor tracks connec ons
in real- me even though packets from these connec ons are dispersed among the mul ple links on separate
physical switches.

For example, in the illustra on below, packets from a single transac on from headquarters to the datacenter
may travel through all the available links (A, B, C and D). Tradi onally, audi ng this traffic was performed
by tracking FLOWS on each link and manually consolida ng the data. This process only produced a limited
view of the traffic and could not produce any cri cal informa on to support performance and transac on
monitoring. Tracking these transac ons is now possible with TOTAL VIEW PLUS.
