Self-Assessment
1ASN-3 Dec. 24, 2018

1.
The one goal that I want to achieve this coming year is to save money. These
are the steps that I will follow to attain my goal:
a. First, stop buying things that are not necessarily needed.
b. Second, by summer (March/April) I can finally spend my money to go
on a vacation out of town or out of the country.
c. Lastly, continue what I had started.
2.
 Think positive always.
When I think of negative thoughts/things it might affect my
academics. I should not over think things. I must think positive all the
time so that when I work or study, I will be productive.
 Advance reading.
It is good that I’m always ready when my professor had a surprise
quiz or recitation. I can always answer his/her questions. It is
effective because it illustrates the points that are the most important.
 Sleep or take a rest.
It is also important that I have enough sleep. I know that my brain
can’t function well if I’m drained or sleepy. My brain and body can
only handle so much. For me, I create boundaries that will ensure I
spend more time studying than I do taking breaks, like creating
schedules or setting timers.
 Take down notes.
It is effective because I can have more ideas that could help me when
examinations come. I will be able to remember it months later or I
could use it to other things. Using this habit will practice me tidiness
and organization that could make my study-time less stressful.
 Eat well.
Make sure that your tummy is full. You can’t work well if you’re
hungry.
3.
Weaknesses
 Procrastinating. I will try not to take things easy. I shouldn’t think that I can
do my work successfully anytime I want and had no problem delaying it. I
will try to avoid this.
 Writing essays and reporting. I will try to be more knowledgeable about the
topic and be more specific. I will do my best to have a good essay and a good
report. I will not just focus on that rather try to develop my other skills.
 Being quiet in the class. I’m shy and fear of rejection. I shouldn’t think that I
could please people to like me. I will try to stand up and speak in front of
them without fear.
Strengths
 Self-confidence. I love to work or study when I’m happy. With that, I become
productive and successful. I grew up as a confident person and I always
believe in myself.
 I’m good at math. I know that in time I could be a CPA or somewhere that
math is related to my job. I always love to count numbers and solve
problems.
 Being ambitious. I never gave up on something. I believe I will be where I
wanted to be in some years, because my ambition will help me a lot.
4.
 Academics. It stresses me in a way that sometimes I can’t finish my
homework because I also help my younger siblings and my mom who’s
currently studying pharmacy with their projects/homework. I can manage it
by also managing my time.
 Problems. I know that we all have our own problems. We also have different
ways on how to cope with it. For me, I just can’t ignore it. I want to solve it on
my own and finally be okay with it.
 Family. There are times that my mom and I can’t understand each other. It
stresses me in a way that I love her so much and all she thinks that I didn’t
respect her. It’s hard that there are days or weeks that we are not talking to
each other.
5.
a. SPIRITUALITY
I think that spirituality is important in my course because like most of
us, we need guidance. For me to become a successful International
Relations Officer, I need the Holy Spirit to be with me to take me to the
right path. With that, I know that I made the right choices and that
God is always with me. For every thing that I do, I know that He is
there. He’s making sure that I will be successful someday and that
would make my parents happy and proud.
b. PHYSICAL HEALTH
It is important that I’m all-well. If not, I will not be able to function and
do my work on time. I should always be physically fit and not only just
physically speaking but also mentally. Health is important because it
makes me move and brain work. It prevents me from getting sick,
which could result from being absent or late. It helps me improve and
learn new skills that I can use to make healthy choices throughout my
life. It develops me strong and supportive relationship in schools
when I’m healthy. Being healthy makes me feel good and allows me to
perform tasks more effectively.
6.
It is difficult to observe some behaviors because they are more private and
taboo. It is important to observe sexual behavior because it provides greater insight
into issues of sexuality, provides information on relationship dynamics, and
provides evidence of physiological processes that the human body undergoes. It is
important to understand that we are different and for that we must respect each
other’s sexuality and desires.
7.
I think the two ways that the government can prevent me from being
successful is that telling the truth and not able to speak free. Yes, I know that I am in
the country that is democratic and have the right of freedom. What I really mean is
that when you try to speak for justice or for telling the truth, people will kill you. I
will not become successful if I’m keeping lies.
On the other hand, the two ways that the government can help me become
successful is that providing opportunities for people who are unemployed and
giving hope. I’m not really sure about these two but I can see that someday my
government will help me and me fellow countrymen to be successful.
