We think there is power when we all work together and that now is the perfect
time to sharpen your skills to prepare for the future. That's why we’d like to
invite you to participate in the exclusive National Financial Bee challenge
for students in 7th-10th grade. Plus, we're giving away a $10,000 college
scholarship!

We've partnered with EVERFI to create this virtual challenge that provides an
opportunity for students to have some fun and learn critical financial concepts
— all from the comfort of home while social distancing!

Each daily lesson provides important financial topics covering everything from
savings, investing, income, debt and more. After completing the lessons,
students submit a short capstone essay in which they share their biggest
financial dream and outline a plan for how to get there. Three winners of the
National Financial Bee will receive up to $10,000 in college
scholarships.

Here’s How It Works

Students can participate in just 3 easy steps:

 Sign up for the National Financial Bee Challenge
 Complete the 5 lessons (~10 minutes each) by April 30th
 Submit a short essay on your biggest financial dream and how you
plan to achieve it by May 8th.

Federally insured by NCUA. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be between 13-18
years of age on April 20, 2020. This scholarship contest is open to any U.S. student in grades 7-10
who completes all five challenges in the National Financial Bee course and submits an essay in the
form provided in the course (suggested length: 300 – 500 words). All five courses should be taken
by April 30, 2020. Essay entries must be submitted by May 8, 2020.

A committee of EVERFI judges will select the winners from May 15 to May 22, 2020. Entries will be
judged based on creativity, the content of the message, quality of writing, and demonstrated
understanding of the financial concepts from the course. Three winners in total will be selected.
With written approval, winning entries may be featured by EVERFI and their affiliates. Winners will
each receive a 529 College Savings Scholarship. Winners will receive a 529 College Savings gift
card. Students are able to use the gift card for any 529 College Savings Plan of their choice. For
more information about the gift cards, visit www.leafsavings.com. Please note that gift cards will be
awarded in United States dollars, regardless of where the student resides. Winners will be emailed
an authorization form that a parent or guardian must complete and return within three weeks in
order to receive the gift card. EVERFI and its affiliates shall have the right, title, and interest to use,
market and otherwise own the content of the submitted contest entry to be used anonymously and
with no personal identifiers. With written parental consent, EVERFI and its affiliates shall have the
right to attribute the submitted contest entry to a student’s name. This promotion is sponsored
