PROFILE
I am an innovative and passionate educator with 11 years of teaching experience, who builds relationships with students,
parents, and the community. I am involved in all levels of school-wide decision-making. I am looking for a position as a
school administrator and am committed to building strong connections with students and staff, to developing leadership
capacity in others, and to creating a school culture where each student and staff member believes each day is a chance to be
better than the day before.

Assume duties of school administrator, including formal and informal teacher observations, collecting and
analyzing student academic and behavioral data, assisting in the implementation of school-wide initiatives,
and serving on the hiring committee.
Researched, designed, and implemented a year-long problem of practice focusing on differentiation and small-
group intervention within the Eureka Math curriculum.

Served various roles of teacher leadership, including mentoring beginning teachers, conducting formal teacher
observations, and assisting with hiring new faculty. I also led students and teachers in many capacities as a
team leader, science department chair, National Junior Honor Society Advisor, and boys’ lacrosse coach. I
collaborated on many committees to positively impact learning in our school by serving on the School
Improvement Team, the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Team, the Media and Technology
Advisory Council, and grade-level and vertical Professional Learning Communities. As a science teacher, I
led in my classroom by designing lessons that focused on teaching collaboration, innovation, and 21 st Century
skills and my peers nominated me three times for Teacher of the Year.

As the head coach, I delegated responsibilities among assistant coaches, designed practice and game plans,

won conference and state championships in 2003, 2006, and 2007. I was PAC VI Coach of the Year in 2003,
2004, 2006, and 2007, and NCHSLA State Coach of the Year in 2006.
