What Happens Next?
“Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this: God has
made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and
Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut
to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles,
“Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied,
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The
promise is for you and your children and for all who

call.” With many other words he warned them; and
he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand
were added to their number that day. - Acts 2:36-41
God is up to something in this season of uncertainty. People from around
the world have been brought to their knees. The Lord has shaken the
church in such a way that we join with Peter in the first confession saying,
“Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God” (Matthew 61:16). We also
admit with Paul and Barnabas to the world the second confession, “We are
but mere men, bringing good news to you” (Acts 14:15). I have stated my
conviction from the very beginning that a great awakening accompanies
every dark season of history. To that end, I join you in working and praying

The Billy Graham Association has recorded their Evangelism Response
Center shifting from seeing 500 calls a day before the COVID-19 crisis to
an average of 5,000 calls a day.
Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest America has noted over 15,000 professions
of faith in his ministry since the virus entered into the United States.
Lifeway has noted a 123 percent increase in Bible sales since the virus
crisis.
Google has admitted its #1 search on the world wide web is how to
discover faith in Jesus Christ.
I have heard from several of our pastors in our community that since they
have transitioned to virtual worship gatherings, there has been a significant
“uptick” of people coming to faith in Christ. Churches are ministering
faithfully to their neighbors and especially to the senior adults. Connecting
through zoom, facetime, skype, or other means has become a “new normal”
for ministry. Also, where we all feared the collections would be down,
many churches are stating the opposite. Thom Rainer recently said that
where some churches were saying they would have to close, only 3 percent
are presently saying this. Yes, God is up to something, and you are playing
a major role in redemptive history.
God is preparing the church for a great and glorious revival. People around
the world are “awakening” to His amazing grace. Therefore, Montgomery
Baptists, let us keep doing what the Lord told us to do in 2 Chronicles 7:14:
humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.
Then, the Lord will be faithful to hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and
heal our land.

Pastor Daniel Atkins and Taylor Road Baptist ministry leaders, Jerry Kyser, Seth
Dunnington, Billy Arrighi, Earl Baumgardner and the WE CARE ministry spread
the gospel and worship with prisoners through the prison-yard fence.
Love Loud Montgomery and the River Region Rolling Grocery Store partnered
with First Seventh Day Adventist Church, Montgomery Area Food Bank, and
Garrett Coliseum to serve groceries to 104 families. Families are arrived at
6:00 a.m. to be served at 1:00 p.m. Thanks to Thorington Road Baptist Church
pastor, Michael Trull; Timothy Trull; MBA ministry assistant, Tameka Moment;
MBA Church Planter / Flatline at Chisholm Pastor Dewayne Rembert; Jared
