Dear all,

Regarding case UMPT load cut off 48%, here is some Q&A that could be initial analysis.

Number Question

1 What is CNBAP Capability defined by ?

2 What is the max CNBAP Cap if we have only WMPT ?

3 How if we apply UMPT ?

4 It is now UMPT already. Why does UMPT board load cut off at 48% ?

5 How does 48% come ?

6 So, although we have UMPT but no license then it has no benefit in CNBAP Capability ?

7 What it is the solution ?

8 What is the meaning of (350 excluded) ?

Here we have sample from actual CNBAP usage taken from site 140245.
For simulation, I apply formula, if CNBAP usage >=170 then UMPT Load stuck on (170/350).

The predicted pattern will be as below (compared to actual Board load) :

Cut off is same at level of 48%.

Answer

It is combination between type of processor module + type and number of WBBP

It is 170, if we have WBBPb/d >= 3, or if we have at least one WBBPf. (See table).

It will increased the CNBAP Cap significantly. (See table).

These are the suspicion:

(1) See Q&A no. 2. Before UMPT, by having such a number of WBBP then Max CNBAP Cap is 170.
(2) Currently there is no Hardware Capacity License LQW9UNSC01.

(3) Then actual CNBAP Capability stuck on 170, even already has UMPT.

When CNBAP usage hit >=170.

Actual CNBAP Capability only 170, but system calculate as if it has 350. Then the maximum UMPT board
load is : 170/350 = 48%

Suspicously, yes.

Open license named UMTS Node B Signaling Capacity (350 Excluded)

After the license opened, just fill the number of desired license out of 350. For example, open the license
and give it 100. Then totally we will get 350+100=450. By doing so we get 450 in actual, and solve the
CNBAP issue.
