Nepali Communists aren’t following the ideology of Marxism

Arguments:
1 Not doing work for the people.
2 Following more capitalism rather than the socialism.
3 Modifying the principle for their own development.
4 More attracted towards the Divine power.

Introduction:
Karl Heinrich Marx (1818-1883) was the father of communism. He was born in Trier,
Germany. He was student of law and philosophy. He was exiled from his country due to his
political publications. Marx combine mainly three terms economic, society and politics and
made a term Marxism. Along with the Marx, Engels had also worked. Today in the 21st
century still lots of people don’t know about the Buddhism, Islam, in many countries in the
world though it had been a long time of their birth but only within the birth of Marxism in
170 years, it had been practised in 2/3rd worlds territory and enjoyed for once so from that
also we can think about the importance of Marxism. Looking at the Nepali Communists or so
called communists, they state that they are the true follower of Marx but there comes a big
big question mark when they said like. Looking around the history of first communist party
of Nepal it was established for the first time in India in 2006 Bhadra 30 for the movements
against Rana Regime and the General Secretary at that time was Pushpa Lal Shrestha. At the
present time there is only four major communist party in Nepal which was engaged in the
different forms of Government but there are also minor parties and defunct parties too. Nepali
communists claimed themselves to be rooted upon Marxism but they are not because of the
following reasons:
Arguments:
One of the major premise is that Nepali communists are not following the ideology of
Marxism is that the communists people should for do work for the development of country
not for their own development. Communism state that it is a system of social organization in
which all the property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives
according to their ability and needs. Communist shouldn’t keep their property within
themselves at the time of revolution or at any other time. They must be able to donate it for
the welfare of the people and for the country but if we looked at the Nepal condition Nepali
communists aren’t giving property rather than they are in mindset of how to increase our own
property but if we looked at Marx he didn’t work for himself he work for the people. Talking
about the maoist revolution at that time also the president of that own party Pushpa Kamal
Dahal hadn’t given his all property to the party, he had kept his house for his future security
and one of leader of that revolution Narayan Kaji Shrestha hadn’t also given his all property
to the Party as a fund. Not only that, after the revolution they are also making houses within
the Kathmandu and stating they are communists. Many of the communists are wearing
Armani and have a Pajero, they have a luxurious life. So from this statement we can state that
they aren’t the true communists.
Another main idea of Marxism was that he believed that Capitalism will end one day as like
this when there will be high level of capitalism there will be revolution from the workers or
people and that will lead towards the socialism and similar socialism will converted into the
communism but looking at the Nepali Communists they are being adapted themselves within
the Capitalism and a little bit socialism. Prime Minister of Nepal had also state that the
Communism is a dream for the country. Marx strongly wants to remove the capitalism from
the country. Marx used to say that Capitalism cannot solve the problem of the people. He
believed that profit should be shared among the worker (proletariat) not among the
aristocracy only. Even the communists from Nepal time to time have done the revolution in
the name of socialism but they aren’t on the path of the socialism. There are different types of
capitalism but the Nepali Communists are mostly linked with the two types of capitalism.
They are Crony Capitalism (where people make money through business, thanks to their
political connections) and Stony Capitalism (money is god and individuals get priority over
systems). They are being followed this type of capitalism. Though there is government of
Nepal Communist Party but they aren’t being able to create the balance between the working
class and upper class. As the Land Reform Act Bill hasn’t been passed since 6 years from the
House of representative which can lead the Nepal into the path of socialism. Even the
government of communists have been made in this present time but they aren’t playing any
role to pass that bill also. Upper class are being rich day by day and working class are being
poor day by day. Not only that the communist government isn’t being able to catch the main
accused of 33 kilo gold case as there is highly involvement of money and politics within that
case also. Even the children of Nepali so called communists are going abroad for their study
for instance, children of Hisila Yami, Janardan Sharma and many more are going to foreign
for their further studies and the children of people are even not getting free education upto the
Secondary Level also.
The Nepali Communists are using the ideology of marx for their benefit only they aren’t
telling the truth or the real fact rather they are just using or making those things which will
benefit them only not the country or the people. If we looked at the Nepal, there are mainly
three types of communist one who supports capitalism example Baburam Bhattarai second
one who supports King example Keshav Sthapit and the last one who doesn’t know what
communism is? Marxism and CPN UML principle introduce by our late brave leader Madan
Bhandari ‘Multiparty Democracy’ are the different things they are just like the opposite poles
of the magnet which cannot be never meet but Nepali Communists are stating that they are in
support of Multiparty Democracy and also in the support of the Marxism how can that thing
be possible? Multiparty democracy state that whatever the parliamentary system of capitalism
need playing that kind of required role competing with each other living inside that system.
So the principle of Marxism and CPN UML (now Nepal Communist Party) are completely
different. Another main important thing is that Marx never state that there should be
government it will create division among the people again which will lead towards the
differences among the people here in the world. again one group will be in power and again
one group will face the difficulties and the problem all the time but the leaders of Communist
party wants to gain the power and want to rule the country so this thing is also opposite.
Another main premises is that our country is a country of religious people and people have
faith in the god but the Marxism say that there is no God in this world. Marx was left wing
Hegelians which state that they are atheistic and are revolutionaries. Marx believe on the
physical things. Though communist doesn’t take the name of God in the oath taking process
but they celebrate Dashain, put tika and even do the Graha Shanti for their own and for their
party in time to time. We all know that Pushpa Kamal Dahal and his party had organized puja
by bringing Dinbandhu Pokhrel for collecting money for establishment of their own party
house. Nepali communists are also doing politics on the name of religion too. Not only by
taking the name of Pashupatinath but they are also doing business on the religion in the
summit also by drinking holy wine of so called god. Finding so called Marxist, worshipping
eternal deities, roaming around the ‘jumbo jet’ of full majority in the hope of reaching
socialism and calling it the conclusion of Marxism is of no wonder nowadays.
Conclusion:
Searching for communists in Nepal is like searching for democracy in USA you may find out
many but not real. Nepali communists are just only the communists of their word not by their
behaviour or by their ideas in the today context. Marx idea and their idea are being
completely different. The idea of Marx is mostly idealistic. If Nepali communists cannot fit in
the idea of the Karl Marx they should change habit of calling them as a communist. It is not
necessary to follow the all ideas of Marx because it has also some of the problem but Nepali
communists who are in government also in this time should take the idea from the Marx
which will certainly help them to address the problem of Nepali people. As Ghanashyam
Bhusal communist political leader state that if we can give education to people about the
Marxism we can stay in the government for more than 50 years. At one time, communism
had been practised in more than 2/3rd world country but there is less number of country in
today world. So Nepali communists must be able to understand why and how the communist
ideology had been failed so that it will also help for the country development and for their
existence too.
