GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Insert side plate assemblies into hitch center section. Refer to specific instructions for proper bolt location.
Insert the coiled end of fishwire through proper hole on rear side of center section and through access hole in
plate. Attach 1/4” bolt plate and 1/2 x 1-1/4 lg. carriage bolt as shown above. Pull fasteners through and loosely
install 1/2 hex lock nut. Repeat steps for each fastener. The spare tire may need to be lowered to install the hitch
center section. It will be replaced later.
2. Refer to the application chart to determine the correct installation for your vehicle. (Last page of each language)
FOR ALL INSTALLATIONS:
1. Torque all 3/8" nuts to 35 lb.ft. 5. Torque all 10mm CL10.9 hardware to 53 lb.ft.
2. Torque all 12mm nuts & bolts to 65 lb.ft. 6. Torque all 10mm Torx hardware to 60 lb.ft.
3. Torque all 7/16” hardware to 50 lb.ft. 7. Retighten the spare tire if it was loosened.
4. Torque all 1/2” hardware to 75 lb.ft.
NOTE: Not all of the hardware will be used in every installation. Paint any bare metal to prevent rust.

1. Loosely install Side Brackets on vehicle per specific instructions.

Align holes in side plate with side bracket as shown.
2. Install the 1/2” Knurl neck bolts, 1/2 lock washers, and 1/2 hex nuts.
3. First - Tighten Knurl neck bolts to 90 FT-LB to seat bolt, then loosen and
retighten to 75 FT-LB
4. Second - Tighten Side Bracket fasteners to proper specifications.
(Refer to general instructions on Page 1. for specs. )
5. Center receiver tube on vehicle and tighten center section fasteners to 75 LB-FT.

84-95 CARAVAN / VOYAGER / TOWN & COUNTRY:
1. Install 1/2" carriage bolts with bolt plates into the existing holes in the bottom
of the frame, using the large access hole in the bottom of the frame. Hold the
side brackets up to the frame, inserting the bolts into holes 1 & 4.
2. If the van is older than 1989, hole 4 will need to be drilled. After drilling hole 4,

remove the bracket. Screw a carriage bolt onto the pull wire. Place a bolt plate

over the bolt. Insert the free end of the pull wire into the access hole in the
frame. Bring it out through the hole that was just drilled. Pull the bolt down
1/2” THICK SPACER through the hole. Unscrew the wire and repeat for the other side.
WHEN NEEDED NOTE: Some models will require a small flange at the bottom end of the frame
to be bent up slightly. This will allow hitch to be installed in the correct
position.
3. Place the brackets over the bolts and install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers,
and nuts on the bolts.

82-96 FORD BRONCO (FULL SIZE)

1. Place the side brackets near the end of the frame, align rear edge of bracket with end
of frame. Place 1/2" thick spacers between the frame and holes 1 & 4. Clamp in place. Drill
1/2" holes into the frame using holes 1 & 4 as a guide. Insert a 1/2” carriage bolt with bolt plate down through the frame and into hole 1.
2. Thread a carriage bolt onto the pull wire. Place a bolt plate over the bolt. Push the free end of the wire over the top of the frame and
back down between the gas tank and the frame. Pull the wire through hole 4 and bring the bolt out through the hole. Install 1/2" flat
washers, lock washers, and nuts on all bolts.
3. For the '94 Bronco, move the hitch forward to clear the bumper and install the hitch at that location.
4. Install center section per SIDE BRACKET LOCATION 1. (See page 2.)
1986-99 DAKOTA LONG BED

1. Center the side brackets on frame near the end and align rear edge of bracket with end of frame.
Clamp side brackets in place. Using the holes in bracket as a guide, drill a 1/2" hole into the frame at holes 1 & 4. Insert 1/2”
carriage bolts with 1/4” bolt plates down through the frame and into holes 1 & 4. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on
the carriage bolts. Remove clamps.
2. Some models require 1/2” spacers between frame and side bracket.
92-99 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN, 95-99 TAHOE, 92-99 GMC YUKON, 92-94 FULL SIZE BLAZER, 92-99 GMC SUBURBAN
1. Lift the side brackets up to the frame. Install a 1/4" thick spacer on one of the 1/2" bolts. Insert the bolt down through the existing
hole in frame and hole 1. Install a 1/2" flat washer, lock washer, and hex nut on the bolt. Repeat for other side.
2. Using hole 4 as a guide, drill a 1/2" hole in the frame. Install a 1/4" thick spacer on a 1/2" bolt and insert it down through the frame
and hole 4. Install a 1/2" flat washer, lock washer, and hex nut on the bolt. Repeat for other side.
3. Some models require 1/2” spacers between frame and side bracket.
82-01 DODGE PICK-UPS

1. Place the side brackets under the large hole at the rear of the frame. Place a 1/2" thick spacer over the hole in the frame. Insert a
1/2" carriage bolt down through the frame and into hole 1. Clamp the hitch to the frame.
2. Drill a 1/2" hole through hole 4 and into the frame. Insert a 1/2" bolt with flat washer down through the frame and into hole 4.
Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on all bolts. See diagram

1.Remove the rearmost existing 12mm hex bolt from bottom of frame, both sides.
NOTE: Do not remove the forward 12mm bolt.
2. Raise side brackets into position, aligning hole 2 in bracket with existing weldnut. Place (1) 1/2” spacer between
side bracket and frame at hole 2. (**See note)
3. Loosely install supplied 12mm CL10.9 hex bolts, 1/2 lock washers, and flat washers into weldnuts.
4. Using the rearmost end of hole 1 and the center of hole 3 in side bracket as a guide, drill a 1/2" hole into the
frame at holes 1 & 3.
5. Place (1) 1/2” spacer between side bracket and frame at hole 3. (**See note)
6. Use pull wire to install 1/2” x 2 carriage bolts with 1/4” bolt plates through access at end of frame and
into drilled holes. NOTE: Install forward carriage bolt first.
7. Loosely install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the carriage bolts.
8. Raise center section into position and install per SIDE BRACKET LOCATION 1. (See page 2)

(Note: Some models require 1/2” spacers between side bracket and frame.)
2. Insert 1/2” carriage bolts with 1/4 x 1-1/2 x 3” bolt plates down through large hole in frame and into hole 2 in
side bracket. Use 1/2” spacers if necessary.
3. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the carriage bolts.
4. Using hole 4 in bracket as a guide, drill a 1/2" hole into the frame at hole 4.
5. Install 1/2” carriage bolts with 1/4” bolt plates through drilled hole.
6. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the carriage bolts.
7. Install center section per SIDE BRACKET LOCATION 1 - LOCATION 2 for Nissan pick-ups. (See page 2.)
**If large hole is not present near end of frame:
8. Raise side brackets in approximate position shown and clamp in place. Using holes in side bracket as a guide,
drill 1/2” holes into frame at holes 2 & 4.
9. See steps 5 through 7 to finish installation.
1982-1993 DODGE RAM CHARGER

1. Position the side brackets up to the frame with hole 1 under the rivet head. Clamp in place or mark the frame at holes 2 and 4. Drill a
1/2" hole into the frame at holes 2 and 4.
2. Place a 1/2" thick spacer between the frame and holes 2 and 4. Thread a 1/2" carriage bolt onto the pull wire. Place a bolt plate over
the bolt. Push the free end of the pull wire through the end of the frame and bring it out through the 1/2" mounting hole. Pull the bolt
down through the hole. Unscrew the pull wire and repeat for the other bolts.
3. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.
1982-03 FORD FULL SIZE PICK-UP/ 2004 HERITAGE (OLD BODY STYLE)
1. Position hole 2 of side brackets just rearward of the rivet in the frame. Place a 1/2" thick spacer between the frame and
holes 2 & 4. Clamp the side brackets in place. Drill a 1/2" hole into the frame using holes 2 & 4 as a guide. If rivet is at hole 4, then
use hole 3.
Insert 1/2" carriage bolts with 1/4” bolt plates down through the frame and into holes 2 & 4. Install 1/2" flat washers,
lock washers, and nuts on all bolts.

1. Raise the brackets up to the frame with the bracket as far forward toward the front of the truck as possible. Do
not let the bracket rest upon the weld in the frame. Clamp in place.
2. Drill a 1/2" hole into the frame using hole 3 as a guide. Thread a 1/2" carriage bolt onto the pull wire and place a
bolt plate over the bolt. Push the free end of the pull wire into the open end of the frame and bring it out through
hole 3. Pull the bolt down through hole 3. Unscrew the wire.
3. Make sure hitch is level. Drill a 1/2" hole through the bumper bracket using hole 6 as a guide.
5. Insert a 12mm bolt from the outside, into hole. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on all bolts.
84-95 TOYOTA PICK-UP

1. Place the brackets up to the frame with hole 3 under the forward hole in the frame. Place a 1/2" thick spacer
between the frame and hole 3. Insert a 1/2" carriage bolt with bolt plate down through the hole in frame and into
hole 3. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts. Snug up the nuts.
2. Make sure the hitch is level. Drill through hole 5 and into the bumper bracket.
4. Insert a 12mm bolt through the outside of the bracket and into hole 5. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers,
and nuts on the bolts.

1. Lower the spare tire. Remove the bolts that hold the
bumper on the right side from the bottom of the frame.
Remove the nut clips from the frame. Remove the bumper
brace that goes to the corner of the bumper. You will need the
TORX T50 wrench to unbolt it from the bumper. (FOR 98-05 MODELS)
2. Drop the 1/2” carriage bolts and bolt plates through the holes in the
frame and hold the Right Hand Bracket up over the bolts with flat washers
between the frame and the bracket at all three bolting locations. Reinstall
the bumper bracket under the hitch bracket and install the 1/2” flat washers,
lock washers, and nuts. See the diagram above. Leave the nuts loose at this time.
3. Remove the left hand bumper brackets, nut clips, and the bumper corner brace.
4. Lift the Left hand bracket up above the the bumper bracket and place it under the frame.
Repeat step 2 for left hand bracket.
5. Install center section per BRACKET LOCATION 1. (See page 2.)
6. Re-attach the bumper braces. Bolt them into the slot in the center of the bumper. Retighten spare tire.

1. Use the 1/2” drill to open the holes at the end of the frame to 1/2” diameter. Insert a 1/2” X 2 carriage
bolt with 1/4” bolt plate through the hole at the end of the frame.
3. Lift the side brackets up to the frame and align hole #3 in side brackets with carriage bolts.
Place two (2) 1/2” flat washers between the frame and bracket on the carriage bolts to space
the side brackets down off the rivet in the frame. See the diagram.
4. Install 1/2” flat washers, lock washers and nuts on the carriage bolts. Tighten the bolts so that the
hitch is level.
5. Attach “L” brackets to the side brackets over holes 1 & 2 with two (2) M12 x 40mm hex bolts,
each side as shown.
6. Using the long slot as a guide, drill a 1/2” hole at far rearward end of slot through the
bumper brackets. Install M12 x 40mm hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts on the bolts.
FOR DAKOTA QUAD CAB 2000-01

1. Remove mass-damper using 15mm socket. (Mass-damper is the round tube just forward of the bumper, suspended
on rubber mounts.)
2. Complete above steps (1-7)
3. Reinstall mass-damper.

1. Remove the bolt from the bottom of the frame, reverse its direction, and reinstall the bolt with the head on the bottom
of the frame. Position the side brackets up to the frame rearward of the bolt with a 1/2” spacer over hole 3.
2. Drill a 1/2” hole in the frame at hole 3. Install a 1/2” carriage bolt with 1/4 x 1-1/2 x 3” block down through the frame,
spacer and hole 3.
3. Attach the “L” brackets to the side brackets over holes 1 & 2 with two (2) M12 x 40mm hex bolts as shown.
4. Using the long slot as a guide, drill a 1/2” hole at far end of slot through the bumper brackets. Install M12 x 40mm
hex bolts, flat washer, lock washers and nuts on the bolts.

84-96 JEEP CHEROKEE, XJ (WITHOUT FUEL TANK SHIELD AND EXISTING HARDWARE IN FRAME)
1. Remove the bolts that hold the muffler hanger. Move the hanger to the right and replace the left bolt
into the right hole. This is done to move the exhaust over for tailpipe clearance with the hitch.
2.Thread a 1/2” x 2 carriage bolt onto the pull wire. Place a 1/4 bolt plate over the bolt. Push the free
end of the wire into the opening at the end of the frame. Bring the wire out through the hole in the
rear of the frame. Pull the bolt down through the hole. Repeat for the other side.
3.Place the side brackets up to the rear of the frame. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers and nuts
on bolts.
89-97 FORD AEROSTAR (EXTENDED)

1. Place the hitch up to the frame and as far rearward as possible. Drill 1/2" holes into the frame using
holes 1, 2 & 4 as a guide. Open up the access hole in the bottom of the frame to allow the 1/2"
carriage bolt to pass through. This hole is located farther forward in the frame.
2. Thread a 1/2" carriage bolt onto the pull wire and place a bolt plate over it. Push the free end of the
pull wire into the access hole and out through one of the drilled holes. Pull the bolt down through
the hole. Remove the wire and repeat for the remaining holes.
3. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on all bolts.
4. Install center section per SIDE BRACKET LOCATION 1. (See page 2)

2. Insert a 1/2” carriage bolt through 1/4” bolt plate and attach the
pull wire. Pull the bolt into position through the opening in the end
of the frame on Driver’s side. Start with the forward bolt hole first.
See the diagram above.
3. Lift the side brackets up to the frame. Loosely install 1/2” lock washers, flat washers, and nuts
on the carriage bolts. Install 12mm hex head bolts with lock washers and flat washers into the three 12mm X 1.75 X 40mm
locations of the passenger side. For some vehicles, the third hole needs to be drilled. HEX BOLT
If hole requires drilling, use the pull wire to install a 1/2” carriage bolt with 1/4 bolt plate through end of frame. LOCK WASHER
Loosely install 1/2 flat washer, 1/2 lock washer, and hex nut on carriage bolt. See the diagram above. FLAT WASHER
5. Reinstall the exhaust under the hitch bracket. Install the 12mm bolt with a 1/2” lock washer and flat washer through the exhaust bracket,
the hitch bracket, and into the frame. Replace the factory nut on the other stud if present.

1. Place the side brackets over the studs that are fastened into the bottom of the frame. Use holes 2 & 3.
Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and 12mm nuts on the studs.
2. Drill a 1/2" hole into the frame using hole 1 as a guide. Thread 1/2 x 2 carriage bolt onto the pull wire
and place a 1/4 bolt plate over the bolt. Insert the free end of the pull wire into the top of the bumper
bracket. This is between the end of the frame and the bumper. Push it out through hole 1. Pull the bolt
down through the hole. Unscrew the pull wire. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the
carriage bolts.

1. If present, remove the rear bolt in the frame. Drill out the nut in frame so a 1/2” hex bolt may be inserted
through it. Place the side brackets up to the frame as shown with hole 1 under the rear frame hole. Place
1/2" thick spacers between the frame and holes 1 & 4. Clamp the side brackets in place.
2. Install a 1/2” hex bolt into the rear hole. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.
3. If there was not a bolt in the rear hole of the frame, install a 1/2” carriage bolt with a 1/4 bolt plate down through the
hole in frame and loosely install a 1/2” flat washer, 1/2” lock washer, and 1/2” nut.
4. Drill a hole into the frame using hole 4 as a guide. Install a 1/2" carriage bolt with 1/4” bolt plate down
through the frame. Repeat for the other side. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.

1. Remove the rearmost existing 14mm bolt from the bottom of the frame rail, both sides. Place the side brackets up
to the frame as shown with hole 1 (1500) or hole 2 (2500 & 3500) in bracket under the rear frame hole.
Loosely reinstall existing14mm bolt through in bracket.
2. Install a 1/2” carriage bolt with a 1/4 bolt plate down through the existing forward hole in frame and down through

1. Either bend the muffler hanger rod out of the way or cut it off with a saw.
2. Place the side brackets up to the rear of the frame. Using holes 1 and 4 as a guide, drill 1/2" diameter
holes into the frame.
3. Reaching up between the gas tank and the frame, install 1/2" carriage bolts and 1/4 bolt plates into
holes 1 and 4. Install 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.
5. Remount the muffler hanger to the side of the hitch bracket, using 3/8” hex bolt through side bracket
and rubber hanger. Install two(2) 3/8” nuts on the bolt, use the second nut as a lock against the first
nut.

1. Loosely install the side plate assemblies into center section as shown. (See page 1.)
Note: Slide the side plate assemblies toward center.
2. Use pull wire to install two (2) 7/16” x 1-3/4 carriage bolts with 1/4” bolt plates through access hole and
into the two holes on the inside of the frame, both sides.
3. Place a 1/2” thick spacer on each carriage bolt. Apply a small piece of tape to spacer and carriage bolt
to prevent bolt from sliding into frame.
4. Raise center section assembly and line up the two rearmost top holes on side plate with the
carriage bolts on one side of vehicle and install side plate over carriage bolts.
NOTE: Use a jack stand to temporarily support center section assembly.
5. Loosely install 7/16” conical washers and hex nuts on bolts.
6. Install the other side plate over the two carriage bolts and loosely install 7/16” conical washers and hex nuts.
7. Use pull wire to install 7/16” carriage bolt with 1/4” bolt plate in access hole in bottom of frame. Then pull
carriage bolt back through the access hole which will be used to install the “L” bracket. (See Figure 2.)
8. Line up hole in “L” bracket with 7/16” carriage bolt and loosely install 7/16” conical washer and hex nut on bolt.
Using a 12mm x 40mm hex bolt (fully threaded), 1/2” flat washer, and 12mm hex nut,
attach “L” bracket to side plate as shown in figures 1 & 2 each side as shown.
9. Tighten fasteners to proper torque. (See page 1.)

1. Remove heat shield on 2002 and earlier models.
2. Use pull wire to install two (2) 7/16 x 1-3/4” carriage bolts with 1/4" bolt plates through access hole at end of frame and into
the two (2) rearmost existing holes, both sides.
3. Raise the side brackets into position, lining up hole 1 in bracket with rearmost carriage bolt. Loosely install a 7/16” conical
washers and hex nuts on the bolts. Repeat for other side.
NOTE: Do not tighten carriage bolt at hole location 2 until heat shield is reinstalled. (Step 6)
4. Using hole 4 in side bracket as a guide, drill a 1/2" hole in the frame. Install a 7/16 x 1-3/4” carriage bolt with a 1/4” bolt plate
through access hole and into drilled hole. Place tapered block and 3/16” spacer between frame and bracket.
Install a 7/16" conical washer and hex nut on the bolt. Both Sides.
6. To trim heat shield, cut a 3/4” wide slot approximately 11” long as shown in picture. Drill 1/2” hole in shield 3-7/8” from existing
hole in shield. Temporarily remove nut and washer from center carriage bolt. Reinstall heat shield around bracket. The center
carriage bolt should line up with drilled hole in heat shield.
Reinstall 7/16” conical washer and hex nut.
VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH O.E.M. TRAILER HITCH
1. Remove heat shield on 2002 and earlier models.
2. Enlarge forward slot in bottom of frame to fit the 1/4” x 1 x 2” bolt plates, both sides.
3. Raise the side brackets into position, lining up hole 1 in bracket with rearmost existing weldnut. Loosely install 12mm hex bolt
with 1/2” lock washer and flat washer, both sides as shown.
4. Using holes 2 and 4 in side bracket as a guide, drill a 1/2” hole in the frame. Use pull wire to install 7/16 x 1-3/4 carriage
bolts with 1/4” bolt plates through access hole and into drilled holes.
Install a 7/16" conical washer and hex nut on the bolt. Both Sides.
NOTE: Do not tighten carriage bolt at hole location 2 until heat shield is reinstalled. (Step 6 above)

3. Install 1/2” x 2” carriage bolt with 1/4” bolt plate down through hole 2 in side bracket and large hole
in end of frame. Place 1/4” x 1-1/2” x 3” block on carriage bolt and loosely install 1/2” flat washer,
lock washer and hex nut.
4. Measure 3-3/4” forward from the center of carriage bolt and drill a 1/2” hole in the bottom of frame.
NOTE: The drilled hole should line up with hole 3 of side bracket.
5. Install 1/2” x 2” carriage bolt with 1/4” bolt plate down through hole 3 in side bracket and drilled hole
in bottom of frame. Loosely install 1/2” flat washer, lock washer and hex nut, both sides.
7. Reattach ground wire to one of the unused holes in side bracket or plate.

1. Remove the two (2) forward bumper bracket bolts and return to vehicle owner, both sides.
2. Raise hitch side brackets into position, aligning hole 4 in bracket with the forward most weldnut in frame.
Install the supplied M10 hex bolt with 3/8” conical washer into weldnut in frame, finger tight.
3. Make sure hitch side brackets are parallel to the frame and mark hole 2 in hitch bracket onto vehicle
bumper brackets. Remove the M10 bolts and washers and lower side brackets temporarily.
4. Remove the three (3) remaining bolts from bumper bracket bolts and remove bumper brackets from vehicle.
Drill a 1/2” hole into bumper brackets at the marked location.
5. Install 1/2” x 2” carriage bolt with 1/4” x 1-1/2” x 2” block into large slot in frame, both sides, as shown.
6. Line up the drilled hole over carriage bolt and reinstall the bumper brackets using the three (3)
boltsremoved in step 4.
7. Raise hitch side brackets back into position, aligning hole 2 with the carriage bolt and loosely install the
1/2” flat washers, 1/2” lock washers, and hex nuts. Reinstall the supplied M10 hex bolt with 3/8” conical
washer into the forward weldnut in frame.

CONSIGNES GÉNÉRALES
1. Insérez les plaques latérales assemblées dans la section centrale de l'attelage. Reportez-vous aux instructions sur l'emplacement du boulon.
Insérez l'extrémité recourbéee du ruban de tirage dans le trou approprié situé sur le côté arrière de la section centrale, puis dans le trou d'accès de la
plaque. Attachez la plaque de boulon 1/2 po au boulon mécanique 1/2 x 1-1/4 LA, tel qu'illustré ci-dessus. Tirez les attaches à travers et installez,
sans le serrer, l'écrou autobloquant 1/2. Répétez pour chaque attache. Il peut être nécessaire d'abaisser la roue de secours pour installer la section
centrale de l'attelage ; elle sera replacée par la suite.
2. Consultez le tableau d'utilisation pour déterminer le mode d'installation correspondant à votre véhicule (dernière page, pour toutes les langues)
POUR TOUTES LES INSTALLATIONS

1. Serrez tous les écrous de 3/8 po à 48 N-m (35 ft-lb) 5. Serrez toute la quincaillerie de 10 mm CL10.9 à 72 N-m (53 ft-lb).
2. Serrez tous les écrous et boulons de 12 mm à 88 N-m (65 ft-lb). 6. Serrez toute la quincaillerie de 10 mm Torx au couple de 81 N-m (60 ft-lb).
3. Serrez toute la quincaillerie de 7/16 po à 68 N-m (50 ft-lb). 7. Resserrez la roue de secours si vous l'avez dévissée.
4. Serrez toute la quincaillerie 1/2 po à 102 N-m (75 ft-lb)
REMARQUE: selon le mode d'installation, vous n'aurez pas à utiliser toute la quincaillerie fournie. Recouvrez le métal nu de peinture pour éviter
la rouille.

1. Insérez les boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po avec leurs plaquettes dans les trous existants
sous le cadre par la large ouverture d'accès. Maintenez les supports latéraux contre le
cadre et insérez les boulons dans les trous 1 et 4.
TROU EXISTANT 2. Si le modèle de la camionnette est antérieur à 1989, vous devrez percer le trou 4. Après
(CERTAINS MODÈLES) avoir percé le trou 4, retirez le support. Vissez un boulon mécanique dans le fil de traction.
Placez une plaquette sur le boulon. Insérez l'extrémité libre du fil de traction dans le trou
d'accès du cadre. Faites-le passer dans le trou que vous venez de percer. Tirez le boulon
vers le bas, dans le trou. Dévissez le fil et répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.
REMARQUE : sur certains modèles, il est nécessaire de légèrement recourber le petit rebord

FORD BRONCO (PLEINE GRANDEUR) 82-96

1. Placez les supports latéraux près de l'extrémité du cadre, et alignez celle-ci ave le bord arrière du
support. Insérez deux entretoises de 1/2 po d'épaisseur entre le cadre et les trous 1 et 4 et
maintenez le tout en place. En vous servant des trous 1 et 4 comme guides, percez des trous de
1/2 po dans le cadre. Insérez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po dans le trou 1, à travers la plaquette et le cadre.
2. Vissez un boulon mécanique dans le fil de traction. Posez une plaquette sur le boulon. Faites passer
l'extrémité libre du fil de traction par dessus le cadre et glissez-la entre le cadre et le réservoir d'essence.
Faites ensuite passer le fil par le trou 4 et faites ressortir le boulon par le trou. Posez des rondelles plates, des rondelles de blocage et des écrous de
12,7 mm sur les boulons.
3. Pour le Bronco 94, déplacez l'attelage vers l'avant de façon à dépasser le pare-chocs et fixez-le à cet endroit.
4. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2).
DAKOTA CHÂSSIS LONG 1986-99

1. Centrez les supports latéraux sur le cadre, près de l'extrémité, et alignez celle-ci avec le bord arrière du support.
Maintenez en place les supports latéraux. En vous servant des trous du support comme guides, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre vis-à-vis les
trous 1 et 4. Insérez des boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po dans les trous 1 et 4, à travers la plaquette de 1/4 po et le cadre. Posez des rondelles plates,
des rondelles de blocage et des écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques. Retirez les brides.
2. Certains modèles requièrent des entretoises de 1/2 po entre le cadre et le support latéral.
CHEVROLET SUBURBAN 92-99, TAHOE 95-99, GMC YUKON 92-99, BLAZER PLEINE GRANDEUR 92-94, GMC SUBURBAN 92-99
1. Positionnez les supports latéraux contre le cadre. Placez une entretoise de 1/4 po sur l'un des deux boulons de 1/2 po. Insérez le boulon dans le trou
existant du cadre et dans le trou 1. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hexagonale de 1/2 po sur le boulon. Répétez
l'opération de l'autre côté.
2. En vous servant du trou 4 comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Placez une entretoise de 1/4 po sur l'un des boulons de 1/2 po et
insérez ce dernier dans le trou 4, à travers le cadre. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hexagonal de 1/2 po sur le boulon.
Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.
3. Certains modèles requièrent des entretoises de 1/2 po entre le cadre et le support latéral.
4. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1. DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2).
CAMIONNETTES DODGE 82-01

1. Placez les supports latéraux sous le large trou à l'arrière du cadre. Placez une entretoise de 1/2 po sur le trou du cadre. Insérez un
boulon mécanique de ½ po dans le cadre et dans le trou 1. Maintenez ensemble l'attelage et le cadre à l'aide d'une bride.
2. Percez un trou de ½ po dans le cadre, à travers le trou 4. Insérez un boulon de 1/2 po avec rondelle plate dans le trou 4, à travers le cadre.
Posez des rondelles plates, des rondelles de blocage et des écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons. Voir le schéma

REMARQUE : ne retirez pas le boulon 12 mm avant.
2. Soulevez les supports latéraux en position et alignez le trou 2 du support avec l'écrou soudé existant. Placez (1) entretoise de 1/2 po
entre le support latéral et le cadre au trou 2 (**voir remarque).
3. Installez, sans les serrer, les boulons hex. 12MM CL10.9, les rondelles de blocage et les rondelles plates de 1/2 po fournis
4. En vous servant de la partie la plus arrière du trou 1 et du centre du trou 3 comme guides, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le
cadre aux trous 1 et 3.
5. Placez (1) entretoise de 1/2 po entre le support latéral et le cadre au trou 3 (**voir remarque).
6. Utilisez le fil de traction pour installer deux (2) boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po avec plaquettes de 1/4 po par le trou d'accès à
l'extrémité du cadre dans les trous percés. REMARQUE : Installez d'abord le boulon mécanique avant.
7. Posez, sans serrer, des rondelles plates, des rondelles de blocage et des écrou de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques.
8. Soulevez la section centrale en position et installez tel que dans la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2).

3. Posez des rondelles plates, des rondelle de blocage et des écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques.
4. En vous servant du trou 4 du support latéral comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre au trou 4.
5. Insérez les boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po et les plaquettes de 1/4 po à travers le trou percé.
6. Posez des rondelles plates, des rondelle de blocage et des écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques.
7. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL - EMPLACEMENT 2 pour les camionnettes Nissan (voir
page 2).
**S'il n'y a pas de trou large près de l'extrémité du cadre :
8. Soulevez les supports latéraux approximativement dans la position illustrée et maintenez-les en place. En vous servant des trous du support latéral
comme guides, percez des trous de 1/2 po dans le cadre aux trous 2 et 4.
9. Voir les étapes 5 à 7 pour terminer l'installation.
DODGE RAM CHARGER 1982-1993

1. Positionnez les supports latéraux contre le cadre, le trou 1 placé sous la tête du rivet. Maintenez-les en place ou marquez le cadre à
l'emplacement des trous 2 et 4 et percez un trou de 1/2 po à ces endroits.
2. Insérez une entretoise de 1/2 po entre le cadre et les trous 2 et 4. Vissez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po dans le fil de traction. Posez une
plaquette sur le boulon. Passez le bout libre du fil de traction dans l'extrémité du cadre et faites-le ressortir par le trou d'assemblage de 1/2 po.
Faites passer le boulon par ce trou. Dévissez le boulon du fil de traction et répétez l'opération avec les autres boulons.
3. Posez les rondelles plates, les rondelles de blocage et les écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons.
CAMIONNETTE FORD STANDARD 82-03 / HÉRITAGE 2004 (VIEILLE CARROSSERIE)

1. Positionnez le trou 2 des supports latéraux juste derrière le rivet du châssis. Insérez une entretoise de 1/2 po entre le châssis et
les trous 2 et 4. Maintenez les supports latéraux en place. En vous servant des trous 2 et 4 comme guides, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le
châssis. Insérez des boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po avec les plaquettes de 1/4 po dans les trous 2 et 4, à travers le châssis. Posez les rondelles
plates, les rondelles de blocage et les écrous de 1/2 po sur tous les boulons.
2. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL. (Voir page 2.)

CAMIONNETTE MAZDA 90-93

1. Soulevez les supports contre le cadre, en les positionnant le plus en avant du véhicule possible. Le support ne doit pas
reposer sur les soudures du cadre. Maintenez le tout en place.
2. En vous servant du trou 3 comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 dans le cadre. Vissez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po dans le
fil de traction et posez une plaquette sur le boulon. Passez le bout libre du fil de traction par l'extrémité ouverte du cadre et
faites-le ressortir par le trou 3. Faites passer le boulon par ce trou. Dévissez le boulon du fil de traction.
3. Assurez-vous que l'attelage est de niveau. En vous servant du trou 6 comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le support
de pare-chocs.
4. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2.)
5. Insérez, de l'extérieur, un boulon de 12 mm dans le trou. Posez des rondelles plates, des rondelles de blocage et des écrous
de 1/2 po sur les boulons.
CAMIONNETTE TOYOTA 84-95

1. Positionnez les supports contre le cadre, le trou 3 placé sous l'ouverture avant pratiquée dans le cadre. Insérez une
entretoise de 1/2 po entre le cadre et le trou 3. Insérez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po avec plaquette dans le trou 3, à travers
le trou du cadre. Posez les rondelles plates, les rondelles de blocage et les écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons. Serrez les
écrous.
2. Assurez-vous que l'attelage est de niveau. Percez le support de pare-chocs à travers le trou 5.
4. Insérez, de l'extérieur du support, un boulon de 12 mm dans le trou 5. Posez les rondelles plates, les rondelles de blocage et
les écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons.

RANGER 82-05 et MAZDA 94-05

1. Abaissez la roue de secours. Ôtez les boulons maintenant le
pare-chocs du côté droit, à partir de l'arrière du cadre.
Retirez du cadre les bagues des écrous. Retirez le renfort d'angle
du pare-chocs avec la clé TORX T50. POUR LES MODÈLES 98-05)
2. Glissez les boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po et leur plaquette dans les trous pratiqués
dans le cadre et maintenez le support de droite sur les boulons, à l'aide de rondelles
plates insérées entre le cadre et le support, aux trois positions de boulonnage. Réinstallez
le support de pare-chocs sous le support de l'attelage et posez les rondelles plates, les rondelles
de blocage et les écrous de 1/2 po. Voir schéma ci-dessus. Laissez les écrous desserrés pour le moment.
3. Retirez les supports de pare-chocs de gauche, les bagues d'écrou et le renfort d'angle du pare-chocs.
4. Soulevez le support de gauche au-dessus du support de pare-chocs et placez-le sous le cadre.
Répétez l'étape 2 pour le support gauche.
6. Remettez les renforts de pare-chocs en place. Boulonnez-les dans l'ouverture pratiquée au centre du pare-chocs.
Revissez la roue de secours.

DODGE DAKOTA CHÂSSIS COURT 86-04

1. À l'aide d'un foret de 1/2 po, agrandissez les trous de l'extrémité du cadre à 1/2 po de diamètre. Insérez un boulon mécanique
1/2 po x 2 avec plaquette de 1/4 po dans le trou.
2. Soulevez les supports latéraux au niveau du cadre et alignez le trou 3 des supports latéraux avec les boulons mécaniques.
Posez deux (2) rondelles plates de 1/2 po, entre le cadre et le support, afin de laisser un espace
entre les supports latéraux et le rivet du cadre (voir le schéma).
3. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques. Serrez les boulons pour mettre
l'attelage de niveau.
4. Fixez les cornières d'appui aux supports latéraux sur les trous 1 et 2 à l'aide de deux (2) boulons hex. M12 x 40 mm,
de chaque côté, tel qu'illustré.
5. En vous servant de la fente allongée comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans les supports de pare-chocs, le plus loin possible
vers l'arrière de la fente. Posez un écrou hex. M12 x 40 mm, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou sur chacun des
boulons.
POUR DAKOTA QUAD CAB 2000-01

1. Ôtez l'absorbeur avec une douille de 15 mm (l'absorbeur est le tube rond situé juste devant le pare-chocs et suspendu
à des fixations de caoutchouc).
2. Exécutez les étapes 1 à 7.
3. Remettez l'absorbeur en place.

1. Retirez le boulon arrière du cadre, inversez son sens et remettez-le en place avec la tête placée sous le cadre. Positionnez les
supports latéraux contre le cadre, derrière le boulon et avec une entretoise de 1/2 po sur le trou 3.
2. Percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre au niveau du trou 3. Insérez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po avec un bloc de 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 3 po
dans le trou 3, à travers le cadre.
3. Fixez les cornières d'appui aux supports latéraux sur les trous 1 et 2 à l'aide de deux (2) boulons hex. M12 x 40 mm, tel qu'illustré.
4. En vous servant de la fente allongée comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans les supports de pare-chocs, le plus loin possible
vers l'arrière de la fente. Posez un boulon hex., M12 x 40 mm, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou sur chacun
des boulons.

1. Retirez les boulons maintenant la tige de suspension du pot d'échappement. Déplacez la tige vers la droite et
remettez le boulon de gauche dans le trou de droite. Ceci permet d'écarter le pot d'échappement pour laisser la
place à l'attelage.
2. Vissez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 x 2 po au fil de traction. Posez une plaquette de 1/4 po sur le boulon.
Passez l'extrémité libre du fil de traction par l'ouverture située à l'extrémité du cadre. Faites-le ressortir par le
trou à l'arrière du cadre. Faites passer le boulon par ce trou. Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.
3. Positionnez les supports latéraux au niveau de l'arrière du cadre. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de
blocage et un écrou de 1/2 po sur chacun des boulons.
FORD AEROSTAR (RALLONGÉ) 89-97

1. Positionnez l'attelage contre le cadre, le plus à l'arrière possible. En vous servant des trous 1, 2 et 4 comme
guides, percez des trous de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Agrandissez le trou d'accès situé sous le cadre pour
permettre le passage d'un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po. Cette ouverture est placée plus en avant sur le cadre.
2. Vissez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po dans le fil de traction et posez une plaquette sur le boulon. Passez
l'extrémité libre du fil de traction par le trou d'accès et faites-la ressortir par l'un des trous percés. Faites
passer le boulon par ce trou. Retirez le fil et répétez l'opération avec les autres trous.
3. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou de 1/2 po sur chacun des boulons.
4. Installez la section centrale selon EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2)

4. Installez les boulons de 12 mm fournis avec les rondelle de
blocage et les rondelles plates de 1/2 po fournies. Serrez les
boulons.
5. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie
EMPLACEMENT 2 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2).
6. Réglez l'écart entre le tuyau d'échappement et le cadre.
UTILISEZ CE TROU Revissez la fixation du tuyau d'échappement.

le goujon situé le plus en arrière, du côté passager DE LA SECTION
(si monté). Retirez les boulons de 12 mm existants, CENTRALE
du côté passager.
2. Insérez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po dans une plaquette de 1/4 po
et fixez-le au fil de traction. Insérez le boulon en place, à travers l'ouverture de l'extrémité
du cadre, du côté du conducteur. Commencez par le trou avant. Voir schéma ci-dessus.
3. Positionnez les supports latéraux contre le cadre. Installez, sans les serrer, une rondelle de blocage, une rondelle plate
et un écrou de 1/2 po sur chacun des boulons. Installez les boulons à tête hexagonale de 12 mm avec rondelle de blocage
et rondelle plate dans les trois emplacements du côté passager.Sur certains véhicules, il est nécessaire de percer le troisième
BOULON HEX.
trou. Si vous devez percer ce trou, servez-vous du fil de traction pour installer le boulon mécanique de 1/2 po et la plaquette
12 X 1,75 X 40 MM
de 1/4 po par l'arrière du cadre. Installez, sans les serrer, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hex.

5. Replacez le pot d'échappement sous le support de l'attelage. Insérez le boulon de 12 mm avec rondelle de blocage et rondelle plate de 1/2 po dans le
support du pot d'échappement, le support de l'attelage et le cadre. Remettez en place l'écrou d'origine sur l'autre goujon (si monté).

1. Placez les supports latétaux sur les goujons fixés sous le cadre. Utilisez les trous 2 et 3. Posez une rondelle plate
et une rondelle de blocage de 1/2 PO et des écrous de 12 mm sur les goujons.
2. En vous servant du trou 1 comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Vissez un boulon mécanique de
1/2 x 2 po dans le fil de traction et posez une plaquette de 1/4 po sur le boulon. Insérez l'extrémité libre du fil de
traction dans la partie supérieure du support du pare-chocs. Situé entre l'extrémité du cadre et le pare-chocs.
Faites-la ressortir par le trou 1. Faites passer le boulon par ce trou. Dévissez le boulon du fil de traction. Posez des
rondelles plates, des rondelle de blocage et des écrous de 1/2 po sur les boulons mécaniques.

1982-1999 COLLECTE de CHEVROLET/GMC - LONG LIT SEULEMENT
1. si le présent, enlèvent le boulon arrière dans l'armature. Percez l'écrou dans l'armature ainsi un 1/2 le boulon de sortilège peut être
passé dans lui. Placez les parenthèses latérales jusqu'à l'armature comme montré avec le trou 1 sous le trou d'armature arrière. Placez
les entretoises épaisses de 1/2” entre l'armature et les trous 1 et 4. Maintenez les parenthèses latérales en place.
2. Installez un 1/2 boulon de sortilège dans le trou arrière. Installez les rondelles plates de 1/2", les rondelles de freinage, et les écrous
sur les boulons.
3. S'il n'y avait pas un boulon dans le trou arrière de l'armature, installez un 1/2 le boulon de chariot avec un plat de boulon de 1/4 vers le
bas par le trou dans l'armature et installent lâchement un 1/2 rondelle plate, 1/2 rondelle de freinage, et 1/2 écrou.
4. Forez un trou dans l'armature en utilisant le trou 4 comme guide. Installez un boulon 1/2” de chariot avec 1/4 boulonnez le plat vers le
bas par l'armature. Répétez pour l'autre côté. Installez les rondelles plates de 1/2", les rondelles de freinage, et les écrous sur les
boulons.
5. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 2 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2)
2000-2005 CAMIONNETTE CHEVROLET / GMC LONG LIT SEULEMENT

1.Enlevez le boulon existant dernier de 14mm du fond du rail d'armature, les deux côtés. Placez les parenthèses latérales jusqu'à
l'armature comme montré avec le trou 1 (1500) ou trouez 2 (2500 et 3500) dans la parenthèse sous le trou d'armature arrière.
Réinstallez lâchement le boulon d'existing14mm à travers dans la parenthèse.
2.Installez un 1/2 boulon de chariot avec un plat de boulon de 1/4 vers le bas par le trou vers l'avant existant dans l'armature et vers le
bas par le trou 3 dans la parenthèse latérale. Installez lâchement un 1/2 rondelle plate, 1/2 rondelle de freinage, et 1/2 écrou. (les deux
côtés)
3. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 2 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2)

1. Soulevez les supports lat. au niveau du cadre et alignez le 4. Installez des boulons méc. de 3/8 x 2 et des plaquettes de 3/16 po
trou 1 avec les écrous soudés existants vers l'extr. du cadre. par le trou d'accès sur le côté du cadre.
2. Installez les boulons hex. de 12 mm (filetage à pas fin), les 5. Installez , sans serrer, des rondelles coniques et des écrous hex
rond. de blocage et les rond. plates de 1/2 po tel qu'illustré. de 3/8 po sur les boulons mécaniques.
3. En vous servant de la fente sur le support latéral comme 6. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie
guide, percez un trou de 7/16 po dans le cadre. EMPLACEMENT 1. DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL (voir page 2).

1. Pliez la tige de suspension du pot d'échappement pour écarter ce dernier ou sciez-la.
2. Positionnez les supports latéraux au niveau de l'arrière du cadre. En utilisant les trous 1 et 4 comme guide,
percez des trous de 1/2 po de diamètre dans le cadre.
3. En passant la main entre le réservoir d'essence et le cadre, insérez des boulons mécaniques de 1/2 po avec
plaquette de 1/4 po dans les trous 1 et 4. Posez une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou de 1/2 po
sur les boulons.
4. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 1 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL. (Voir page 2)
5. Replacez la tige de suspension du pot d'échappement du côté du support d'attelage, à l'aide d'un boulon à tête
hexagonale de 3/8 po inséré dans le côté de ce dernier et dans le caoutchouc de suspension. Posez deux (2)
écrous de 3/8 po sur le boulon, le second servant de contre-écrou.

CAMIONNETTES CHEVROLET/ GMC STANDARD 1996-05

1. Installez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 x 2 po avec plaque de 1/2 po par le trou d'accès dans le trou existant le plus à l'arrière
sous le cadre et de chaque côté. Soulevez les supports latéraux en position et alignez le trou 1 du support avec le boulon
mécanique. Installez, sans serrer, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hex. de 1/2 po chacun sur le boulon.
Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.
2. En vous servant du trou 4 du support latéral comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Insérez un boulon
mécanique de 1/2 po x 2 avec plaque de 1/4 po dans le trou percé. Installez, sans serrer, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de
blocage et un écrou hex. de 1/2 po chacun sur le boulon. Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.

FORD WINDSTAR 1999-2003 - TOUS LES MODÈLES

1. Installez, sans les serrer, les assemblages des plaques latérales dans la section centrale comme illustré. (Voir page 1).
Remarque : faites glisser les assemblages de plaque latérale vers le centre.
2. Utilisez le fil de traction pour installer deux (2) boulons mécaniques de 7/16 po x 1-3/4 avec plaquettes de 1/4 po par le trou
d'accès et dans les deux trous situés à l'intérieur du cadre sur les deux côtés.
3. Posez une entretoise de 1/2 po sur chaque boulon mécanique. Posez un petit morceau de ruban adhésif sur l'entretoise et le
boulon mécanique pour éviter que le boulon ne glisse vers le cadre.
4. Soulevez l'assemblage de la section centrale et alignez les deux trous les plus vers l'arrière sur la plaque latérale avec
les boulon mécaniques sur un côté du véhicule et installez la plaque latérale sur les boulons mécaniques.
REMARQUE : Utilisez un cric pour soutenir temporairement l'assemblage de section centrale.
5. Installez, sans les serrer, des rondelles coniques et des écrous hex. de 7/16 po sur les boulons.
6. Installez l'autre plaque latérale sur les deux boulons mécaniques et posez, sans les serrer, des rondelles coniques et écrous
hex. de 7/16 po.
7. Utilisez le fil de traction pour installer un boulon mécanique de 7/16 po avec plaquette de 1/4 po dans le trou d'accès situé sous
le cadre. Puis, faites repasser le boulon mécanique par le trou d'accès qui sera utilisé pour installer la cornière d'appui (voir la
Figure 2).
8. Alignez le trou de la cornière d'appui sur le boulon mécanique de 7/16 po et posez, sans les serrer, une rondelle conique et un
écrou de 7/16 po sur le boulon. À l'aide d'un boulon hex. de 12 mm x 40 mm (entièrement fileté), d'une rondelle plate de 1/2 po et
d'un écrou hex. de 12 mm, attachez la cornière d'appui à la plaque latérale comme illustré dans les figures 1 et 2 respectives.
9. Serrez les attaches au couple approprié (voir page 1.)

FORD ESCAPE/MAZDA TRIBUTE 2001-04 - TOUS LES MODÈLES (VÉHICULES SANS ATTELAGE D'ORIGINE)
1. Ôtez l'écran thermique sur les modèles 2002 et antérieurs.
2. Utilisez le fil de traction pour installer deux (2) boulons mécaniques de 7/16 x 1-3/4 po avec plaquettes de 1/4 po par le trou d'accès à l'extrémité du
cadre et dans les deux (2) trous existants les plus en arrière sur chaque côté.
3. Soulevez les supports latéraux en position et alignez le trou 1 du support avec le boulon mécanique le plus en arrière. Installez, sans les serrer,
des rondelles coniques et des écrous hex. de 7/16 po sur les boulons. Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.
REMARQUE : Ne serrez pas le boulon mécanique au trou 2 avant que l'écran thermique ne soit installé. (étape 6)
4. En vous servant du trou 4 du support latéral comme guide, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Installez un boulon mécanique de 7/16 x 1-3/4
po avec plaquette de 1/4 po par le trou d'accès dans le trou percé. Placez le bloc isocèle et l'entretoise de 3/16 po entre le cadre et le support.
Installez une rondelle conique et un écrou hex. de 7/16 po sur le boulon. De chaque côté.
5. Installez la section centrale en vous référant à la partie EMPLACEMENT 3 DU SUPPORT LATÉRAL. (Voir page 3.)
6. Pour ajuster l'écran thermique, découpez une fente de 19 mm de large (3/4 po) par 28 cm de long (11 po) (approx.), tel qu'illustré. Percez un trou de
1/2 po dans l'écran à une distance de 9,8 cm (3-7/8 po) du trou existant. Ôtez temporairement l'écrou et la rondelle du boulon mécanique central.
Réinstallez l'écran thermique autour du support. Le boulon mécanique central doit être aligné avec le trou percé dans l'écran thermique.
Replacez la rondelle conique et l'écrou hex. de 7/16 po.
VEHICULES ÉQUIPÉS D'UN ATTELAGE D'ORIGINE
1. Ôtez l'écran thermique sur les modèles 2002 et antérieurs.
2. Agrandissez la fente avant de la partie inférieure du cadre de façon à cadrer les plaquettes de 1/4 po x 1 x 2 po, de chaque côté.
3. Soulevez les supports latéraux en position et alignez le trou 1 du support avec l'écrou soudé le plus en arrière. Installez, sans le serrer, un boulon
hex. de 12 mm avec une rondelle de blocage et une rondelle plate de 1/2 po sur chaque côté, tel qu'illustré.
4. En vous servant des trous 2 et 4 du support latéral comme guides, percez un trou de 1/2 po dans le cadre. Utilisez le fil de traction pour installer
des boulons mécaniques de 7/16 x 1-3/4 avec plaquettes de 1/4 po par le trou d'accès et dans les trous percés.
Installez une rondelle conique et un écrou hex. de 7/16 po sur le boulon. De chaque côté.
REMARQUE : ne serrez pas le boulon mécanique au trou 2 avant que l'écran thermique ne soit installé. (étape 6 ci-dessus)
5. Voir les étapes 5 et 6 ci-dessus pour les instructions permettant de terminer l'installation.

REMARQUE :
1. Déconnectez le fil de masse situé sur la surface inférieure du cadre latéral du passager.
2. Soulevez les supports latéraux en position. Placez la patte d'assemblage des supports sur le cadre, tel qu'illustré. Alignez
le trou 2 du support avec le gros trou situé près de l'extrémité du cadre.
3. Installez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po x 2 po avec plaquette de 1/4 po par le trou 2 du support et dans le gros trou
situé à l'extrémité du cadre. Placez le bloc de 1/4 po x 1-1/2 po x 3 po sur le boulon mécanique et posez, sans serrer, une
rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hex. de 1/2 po.
4. Mesurez 9,5 cm (3-3/4 po) à partir du centre du boulon mécanique et percez un trou de 1/2 po dans la partie inférieur du
cadre.
REMARQUE : le trou percé doit être aligné avec le trou 3 du support latéral.
5. Installez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 po x 2 po avec plaquette de 1/4 po par le trou 3 du support et dans le trou percé
de la partie inférieure du cadre. Installez, sans les serrer, une rondelle plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hex. de 1/2
po chacun sur les deux côtés.
7. Reconnectez le fil de masse à un des trous inutilisés du support latéral ou de la plaque.

mécanique de 1/2 x 2 po avec plaque de 1/4 po par le trou d'accès et dans le trou percé. Installez, sans serrer, une rondelle
plate, une rondelle de blocage et un écrou hex. de 1/2 po chacun sur le boulon. Répétez l'opération de l'autre côté.

CHEVROLET ASTRO ET CAMIONNETTE GMC SAFARI (UNIQUEMENT MODÈLES RALLONGÉS) 1990-2005

1. Ôtez les deux (2) boulons avant du support de pare-chocs sur les deux côtés, et remettez-les au propriétaire du véhicule.
2. Soulevez les supports latéraux de l'attelage en position et alignez le trou 4 du support avec l'écrou soudé le plus vers l'avant
du cadre.
Installez le boulon hex. M10 fourni avec une rondelle conique de 3/8 po dans l'écrou soudé du cadre, et serrez manuellement.
3. Assurez-vous que les supports latéraux de l'attelage sont parralèles au cadre et marquez le trou 2 du support de l'attelage
sur les supports de pare-chocs du véhicule. Ôtez les boulons M10 et les rondelles et abaissez temporairement les supports
latéraux.
4. Retirez les trois (3) boulons restants du support de pare-chocs et retirez les supports de pare-chocs du véhicule.
Percez un trou de 1/2 po dans les supports de pare-chocs à l'emplacement marqué.
5. Installez un boulon mécanique de 1/2 x 2 po avec bloc de 1/4 po x 1-1/2 po x 2 po dans la grosse fente du cadre et sur les
deux côtés, tel qu'illustré.
6. Alignez le trou percé avec le boulon mécanique et réinstallez les supports de pare-chocs à l'aide des trois (3) boulons retirés
à l'étape 4.
7. Soulevez les supports latéraux de l'attelage en position, alignez le trou 2 avec le boulon mécanique, et installez, sans les
serrer, les rondelles plates, les rondelles de blocage et les écrous de 1/2 po. Réinstallez le boulon hex. M10 fourni avec la
rondelle conique de 3/8 po dans l'écrou soudé du cadre.

INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES:
1. Inserte el conjunto de la placa lateral en la sección central. Consulte la colocación de los tornillos en las instrucciones
específicas. Inserte la punta enroscada del alambre pescador por el agujero correcto del extremo posterior de la sección central
y por el agujero de acceso de la placa. Fije la placa de tornillos de 1/4” (6 mm) y el tornillo de carrocería de 1/2 x 1 1/4” (12.5 x 32
mm) como se ilustra. Hale las amarras e instale la tuerca hexagonal de 1/2 (12.5 mm) sin apretar. Repita los pasos para cada
amarre. Podría tener que bajar la rueda de repuesto para instalar la sección central del enganche. La reemplazará luego.
2. Vea la tabla de aplicaciones para determinar la instalación correcta según su vehículo. (Última página de cada idioma).
PARA TODAS LAS INSTALACIONES:

1. Apriete las tuercas de 3/8” (9 mm) a 35 lb.pie. (47,5 N•m). 5. Apriete los elementos CL10.9 de 10 mm a 53 lb.pie. (72 N•m).
2. Apriete tuercas y tornillos de 12 mm a 65 lb.pie. (88 N•m). 6. Apriete los elementos Torx de 10 mm a 60 lb.pie. (81 N•m).
3. Apriete los elementos de 7/16” (11 mm) a 50 lb.pie. (68 N•m). 7. Reapriete la rueda de repuesto si la aflojó.
4. Apriete los elementos de 1/2” (12.5 mm) a 75 lb.pie. (102 N•m).
NOTA: No se usarán todos los elementos en cada instalación. Pinte los metales expuestos para evitar la corrosión.

1. Instale los soportes laterales sin apretarlos según el vehículo.

Alinee los agujeros de la placa lateral con el soporte como se muestra.
2. Instale los tornillos de botón de 1/2” (12.5 mm), las arandelas de seguridad y las tuercas
hexagonales.
3. Primero – Apriete los tornillos de botón a 122 N•M para asentar los tornillos, aflójelos luego y reapriételos a 102 N•M.
4. Segundo – Apriete los amarres del soporte lateral a las especificaciones indicadas.
(Consulte las especificaciones en las instrucciones generales de la Página 1).
5. Centre el tubo recibidor en el vehículo y apriete los amarres de la sección central a 102 N•M.

DE 1/4” (6 mm) 1. Instale los tornillos de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) con placas de tornillo en los agujeros
existentes en la parte inferior del marco usando el agujero de acceso grande. Suba los
soportes laterales hasta el marco, inserte los tornillos en los agujeros 1 y 4.
2. Si la camioneta es anterior a 1989, necesitará taladrar el agujero 4. Retire el soporte luego
AGUJERO EXISTENTE de perforar el agujero 4. Coloque un tornillo de carrocería en el alambre halador. Coloque
ALGUNOS MODELOS una placa de tornillos en el tornillo. Inserte el extremo libre del alambre halador en el
agujero de acceso del marco. Sáquelo por el agujero que taladró. Hale el tornillo hacia
abajo a través del agujero. Destornille el alambre y repita al otro lado.
NOTA: En algunos modelos deberá doblar levemente una pequeña platina en el extremo
ESPACIADOR DE 1/2” inferior del marco. Esto permitirá que el enganche sea instalado en la posición correcta.
(12.5 mm) 3. Coloque los soportes sobre los tornillos e instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas

1. Coloque los soportes laterales cerca del extremo del marco, alinee el borde posterior del soporte con el extremo del marco. Coloque espaciadores de 1/2”
(12.5 mm) de grueso entre el marco y los agujeros 1 y 4. Sujételo con prensa en el sitio. Taladre agujeros de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco usando los
agujeros 1 y 4 como guía. Inserte un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) con placa de tornillos hacia abajo a través del marco y en el agujero 1.
2. Enrosque un tornillo de carrocería en el alambre halador. Coloque una placa de tornillos en el tornillo. Empuje el extremo libre del alambre sobre la parte
superior del marco y hacia abajo entre el tanque de gasolina y el marco. Hale el alambre a través del agujero 4 y saque el tornillo a través del agujero.
Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en todos los tornillos.
3. En el Bronco 94, mueva el enganche hacia adelante hasta sobrepasar el parachoques e instale el engache en esa ubicación.
4. Instale la sección central según la UBICACIÓN 1 DE SOPORTE LATERAL. (Ver página 2.)
DAKOTA PLATÓN LARGO 1986-99

1. Centre los soportes laterales en el marco cerca del extremo y alinee el borde posterior del soporte con el borde del marco. Sujételo con prensa en el sitio.
Taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) usando los agujeros del soporte como guía en los sitios 1 y 4. Inserte tornillos de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) con
placas de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) hacia abajo a través del marco y en los agujeros 1 y 4. Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de 1/2” (12.5 mm)
en los tornillos de carrocería. Retire las prensas.
2. Algunos modelos requieren espaciadores de 1/2” (12.5 mm) entre el marco y el soporte lateral.
CHEVROLET SUBURBAN 92-99, TAHOE 95-99, GMC YUKON 92-99, BLAZER TAMAÑO GRANDE 92-94, GMC SUBURBAN 92-99
1. Eleve los soportes laterales hasta el marco. Instale un espaciador de 1/4” (6 mm) de grueso en uno de los tornillos de 1/2” (12.5 mm). Inserte el tornillo
hacia abajo a través del agujero existente en el marco y el agujero 1. Instale una arandela plana, de seguridad y una tuerca hexagonal de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en
el tornillo. Repita al otro lado.
2. Usando el agujero 4 como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco. Instale un espaciador de 1/4” (6 mm) en un tornillo de 1/2” (12.5 mm) e
insértelo hacia abajo por el marco y el agujero 4. Instale una arandela plana, de seguridad y una tuerca hexagonal de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el tornillo. Repita al
otro lado.

1. Coloque los soportes laterales bajo el agujero grande al final del marco. Coloque un espaciador de 1/2” (12.5 mm) sobe el agujero del marco. Inserte un
tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) hacia abajo a través del marco y dentro del agujero 1. Sujete el enganche con prensas al marco.
2. Taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) a través del agujero 4 hasta el marco. Inserte un tornillo de 1/2” (12.5 mm) con arandela plana hacia abajo a través

espaciador de 1/2” (12.5 mm) entre el soporte lateral y el marco en el agujero 2. (**Ver nota)
3. Instale los tornillos hexagonales de 12 mm CL10.9 suministrados sin apretarlos, arandelas de seguridad y planas de 1/2” (12.5
mm) en las tuercas soldadas.
4. Usando el extremo posterior del agujero 1 y el centro del agujero 3 del soporte lateral como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2”
(12.5 mm) en el marco en los agujeros 1 y 3.
5. Coloque (1) espaciador de 1/2” (12.5 mm) entre el soporte lateral y el marco en el agujero 3. (**Ver nota)
6. Use el alambre halador para instalar tornillos de carrocería de 1/2” x 2 (12.5 x 50 mm) con placas de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a
través del acceso en el extremo del marco y en los agujeros taladrados.
NOTA: Instale primero el tornillo de carrocería delantero.
7. Instale sin apretar arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los tornillos de carrocería.
8. Levante la sección central hasta su posición e instale según su UBICACIÓN 1 DE SOPORTE LATERAL. (Ver página 2.)

8. Levante los soportes laterales hasta la posición aproximada mostrada en y prénselos en el sitio. Usando los agujeros del soporte lateral como guía,
perfore agujeros de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los agujeros 2 y 4 del marco.
9. Consulte los pasos 5 al 7 para finalizar la instalación.
DODGE RAM CHARGER 1982-1993

1. Posicione los soportes laterales contra el marco con el agujero 1 bajo la cabeza del remache. Prénselos en su sitio o señale en el marco los
agujeros 2 y 4. Perfore un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los sitios de los agujeros 2 y 4.
2. Coloque un espaciador de 1/2” (12.5 mm) de grueso entre el marco y los agujeros 2 y 4. Enrosque un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en
el alambre halador. Coloque una placa de tornillos en el tornillo. Empuje el extremo libre del alambre halador a través del extremo final del
marco y sáquelo por el agujero de montaje de 1/2” (12.5 mm). Hale el tornillo hacia abajo a través del agujero. Destornille el alambre halador y
repita para los otros tornillos.
3. Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los tornillos.

2. Perfore un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco usando el agujero 3 como guía. Enrosque un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2”
(12.5 mm) en el alambre halador y coloque una placa de tornillos sobre el tornillo. Empuje el extremo libre del alambre dentro
del extremo abierto del marco y sáquelo a través del agujero 3. Hale el tornillo hacia abajo a través del agujero 3. Destornille
el alambre.
3. Asegúrese que el enganche esté nivelado. Perfore un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) a través del soporte del parachoques
usando el agujero 6 como guía.
5. Inserte un tornillo de 1/2” (12.5 mm) desde afuera, y dentro del agujero. Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de
1/2” (12.5 mm) en todos los tornillos.

1. Suba los soportes hasta el marco con el agujero 3 debajo del agujero delantero del marco. Coloque un espaciador de 1/2”
(12.5 mm) de grueso entre el marco y el agujero 3. Inserte un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) con una placa de
tornillos hacia abajo a través del agujero en el marco y dentro del agujero 3. Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas
de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los tornillos. Apriete las tuercas.
2. Asegúrese de que el enganche esté nivelado. Perfore a través del agujero 5 y dentro del soporte del parachoques.
4. Inserte un tornillo de 12mm a través de la parte externa del soporte y dentro del agujero 5. Instale arandelas planas, de

1. Baje la rueda de repuesto. Retire los tornillos que sostienen el
parachoques al lado derecho de la parte inferior del marco.
Retire los imperdibles de las tuercas del marco. Retire el brazo del
parachoques que va hasta la esquina del parachoques. Necesitará la llave
TORX T50 para soltarlo del parachoques. (PARA MODELOS 98-05)
2. Deje caer los tornillos de carrocería y placas de tuercas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) a través de los agujeros en el
marco y sostenga el Soporte de la Derecha sobre los tornillos con arandelas planas
entre el marco y el soporte en todas las tres ubicaciones de los tornillos. Reinstale
el soporte del parachoques bajo el soporte de enganche e instale arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) ,
arandelas de seguridad, y tuercas. Ver el diagrama arriba. Deje las tuercas sueltas en este momento.
3. Retire los soportes del parachoques del lado izquierdo, los sujetadores de las tuercas, y el soporte de la esquina
del parachoques.
4. Levante el soporte de la Izquierda sobre el soporte del parachoques y colóquela bajo el marco.
Repita el paso 2 para el soporte de la izquierda.
5. Instale la sección central según la UBICACIÓN DE LA ABRAZADERA 1. (Ver página 2.)
6. Reinstale las abrazaderas del parachoques. Atorníllelas a la ranura en el centro del parachoques. Apriete de
nuevo la llanta de repuesto.

1. Use el taladro de 1/2” (12.5 mm) para abrir los agujeros al extremo del marco hasta un diámetro de 1/2” (12.5 mm). Inserte un
tornillo de carrocería 1/2” (12.5 mm) x 2” (50 mm) con una placa de tornillos de 1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero al extremo del marco.
2. Levante los soportes laterales hasta el marco y alinee el agujero 3 con los soportes laterales con tornillos de carrocería.
Coloque dos (2) arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) entre el marco y el soporte en los tornillos de la carrocería para espaciar
los soportes laterales con el remache en el marco. Ver el diagrama.
3. Instale arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm) , apriete las arandelas y las tuercas en los tornillos de la carrocería. Apriete las tuercas
de modo que el enganche esté a nivel.
4. Coloque los soportes en L a los soportes laterales sobre los agujeros 1 & 2 con dos (2) tornillos hexagonales M12 x 40 mm.
cada lado como se muestra.
5. Usando la ranura larga como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) al extremo trasero de la ranura a través de los soportes del
parachoques del vehículo. Instale tornillos hexagonales M12 x 40 mm, arandelas planas, arandelas de seguridad y tuercas en los
tornillos.
6. Instale la sección central según la UBICACIÓN DEL SOPORTE LATERAL 1. (Ver página 2.)
PARA DAKOTA QUAD CAB 2000-01

1. Retire el amortiguador de masa usando una copa de 15 mm. (El amortiguador de masa es el tubo redondo justo delante del
parachoques, suspendido en monturas de caucho.)

tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) sobre el tornillo. Introduzca el extremo libre del alambre en la abertura al extremo del
marco. Saque el alambre a través del agujero en la parte trasera del marco. Saque el tornillo a través del
agujero. Repita en el otro lado.
3. Coloque las abrazaderas laterales en la parte trasera del marco. Instale arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm), las
arandelas de seguridad y las tuercas en los tornillos.
89-97 FORD AEROSTAR (EXTENDIDA)

1. Coloque el enganche en el marco y tan hacia atrás como sea posible. Taladre agujeros de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el
marco usando los agujeros 1, 2 y 4 como guía. Abra el agujero de acceso en el fondo del marco para permitir
el paso del tornillo de carrocería. Este agujero está ubicado más adelante en el marco.
2. Atornille un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el alambre halador y coloque sobre él una placa de
tornillo. Introduzca el extremo libre del alambre halador en el agujero de acceso y sáquelo a través de uno de
los agujeros taladrados. Saque el tornillo a través del agujero. Retire el alambre y repita para los agujeros
restantes.
3. Instale arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm), las arandelas de seguridad y las tuercas en todos los tornillos.

1. Si el presente, quita el perno posterior en el marco. Taladre la tuerca en marco tan un 1/2 el perno de la tuerca hexagonal se puede
insertar a través de él. Coloque los soportes laterales hasta el marco según lo demostrado con el agujero 1 bajo agujero del marco
posterior. Coloque los espaciadores gruesos del 1/2"entre el marco y los agujeros 1 y 4. Afiance los soportes con abrazadera laterales
en lugar.
2. Instale un 1/2 perno de la tuerca hexagonal en el agujero posterior. Instale las arandelas planas del 1/2", las arandelas de cerradura, y
las tuercas en los pernos.
3.Si no había un perno en el agujero posterior del bastidor, instale un 1/2 el perno de carro con una placa del perno de 1/4 abajo a través
del agujero en marco e instala libremente un 1/2 arandela plana, el 1/2 arandela de cerradura, y el 1/2 tuerca.
4. Perfore un agujero en el marco usando el agujero 4 como guía. Instale un perno 1/2"de carro con 1/4 emperne la placa abajo a través
del marco. Repita para el otro lado. Instale las arandelas planas del 1/2", las arandelas de cerradura, y las tuercas en los pernos.
5. Instale la sección de centro por la LOCALIZACIÓN LATERAL 2 del SOPORTE. (véase la página 2)
RECOLECCIÓN 2000-2005 de CHEVROLET/GMC - la CAMA LARGA SOLAMENTE
1. Quita el perno existente último de 14m m del fondo del carril del marco, ambos lados. Coloque los soportes laterales hasta el

1. Doble el soporte del silenciador o córtelo con una sierra.
2. Coloque los soportes laterales en la parte trasera del marco. Usando los agujeros 1 y 4 como guía, taladre
agujeros de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco.
3. Metiendo la mano entre el tanque de combustible y el marco, instale tornillos de carrocería de 1/2” (12.5 mm) y
placas de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) en los agujeros 1 y 4. Instale arandelas planas, de seguridad y tuercas de 1/2”
(12.5 mm) en los tornillos.
5. Reinstale el soporte del silenciador a un lado del soporte del enganche, usando un tornillo hexagonal de 3/8” (9
mm) a través del soporte lateral y el soporte de caucho. Instale dos (2) tuercas de 3/8” (9 mm) en el tornillo, use
la segunda tuerca como una traba contra la primera tuerca.

acceso y en el agujero existente del extremo trasero en el fondo del marco, en ambos lados. Eleve los soportes laterales a su
posición, alineando el agujero 1 en el soporte con el tornillo de la carrocería. Instale sin apretar una arandela plana de 1/2”
(12.5mm), arandela de seguridad de 1/2” (12.5 mm), y tuerca hexagonal en el tornillo de la carrocería. Repita en el otro lado.
2. Usando el agujero 4 en el soporte lateral como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco. Instale un tornillo de

1999-2003 FORD WINDSTAR - TODOS LOS MODELOS

1. Instale sin apretar los conjuntos de láminas laterales en la sección central como se muestra. (Ver página 1.)
Nota: Deslice los conjuntos de placas laterales hacia el centro.
2. Use el alambre halador para instalar dos (2) tornillos de carrocería de 7/16” (11 mm) x 1-3/4” (44 mm) con placas de tornillo de
1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero de acceso y en los dos agujeros en el interior del marco, en ambos lados.
3. Coloque un espaciador de 1/2” (12.5 mm) de espesor en cada tornillo de carrocería. Aplique un trocito de cinta al espaciador y
al tornillo de carrocería para evitar que el tornillo se deslice hacia el marco.
4. Levante el conjunto de la sección central y alinee los dos agujeros superiores del extremo trasero en la placa lateral con los
tornillos de carrocería en un lado del vehículo e instale la placa lateral sobre los tornillos de carrocería.
NOTA: Use un soporte de gato para sostener temporalmente el conjunto de la sección central.
5. Instale sin apretar arandelas cónicas de 7/16” (11 mm) y tuercas hexagonales en los tornillos.
6. Instale la placa del otro lado sobre los dos tornillos de carrocería e instale sin apretar arandelas cónicas y tuercas hexagonales
de 7/16” (11 mm).
7. Use el alambre halador para instalar un tornillo de carrocería de 7/16” (11 mm) con una placa de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) en el
agujero de acceso en el fondo del marco. Entonces hale el tornillo de carrocería a través del agujero de acceso, el cual será
usado para instalar el soporte en L. (Ver Figura 2.)
8. Alinee el agujero en el soporte en L con el tornillo de carrocería de 7/16” (11 mm) e instale sin apretar una arandela cónica y una
tuerca hexagonal de 7/16” (11 mm) en el tornillo. Usando un tornillo hexagonal de 12 mm x 40 mm (roscado completo), arandela
plana de 1/2” (12.5 mm), y tuerca hexagonal de 12 mm, sujete el soporte en L a la placa lateral como se muestra en las figuras 1
y 2 en cada lado como se muestra.
9. Apriete las tuercas al torque correcto. (Ver página 1.)

2001-04 FORD ESCAPE/MAZDA TRIBUTE - TODOS LOS MODELOS (VEHÍCULOS SIN ENGANCHE DE REMOLQUE O.E.M.)
1. Retire el escudo de calor en los modelos 2002 y anteriores.
2. Use el alambre halador para instalar dos (2) tornillos de carrocería de 7/16 x 1-3/4” (11mm x 44 mm) con placas de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a través
del agujero de acceso y los dos (2) agujeros extremos existentes, en ambos lados.
3. Eleve los soportes laterales a su posición, alineando el agujero 1 en la abrazadera con el tornillo de carrocería del extremo trasero. Instale sin
apretar arandelas cónicas de 7/16” (11 mm) y tuercas hexagonales en los tornillos. Repita en el otro lado.
NOTA: No apriete el tornillo de carrocería en la ubicación del agujero 2 hasta reinstalar el escudo de calor. (Paso 6)
4. Usando el agujero 4 en el soporte lateral como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco. Instale un tornillo de carrocería de 7/16 x
1-3/4” (11 x 44 mm) con una placa de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero de acceso y en el agujero taladrado. Coloque un bloque
achaflanado y un espaciador de 3/16” (4.5 mm) entre el marco y la abrazadera.
Instale una arandela cónica y una tuerca hexagonal de 7/16” (11 mm) en el tornillo. En ambos lados.
6. Para recortar el escudo de calor, corte una ranura de 3/4” (19 mm) y aproximadamente 11” (280 mm) de largo como se muestra en la imagen.
Taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el escudo a 3-7/8” (89 mm) del agujero existente en el escudo. Retire temporalmente la tuerca y la
arandela del tornillo del centro de la carrocería. Reinstale el escudo de calor alrededor de la abrazadera. El tornillo del centro de la carrocería
debe alinear con el agujero taladrado en el escudo de calor.
Reinstale la arandela cónica y la tuerca hexagonal de 7/16” (11 mm).
VEHÍCULOS EQUIPADOS CON ENGANCHE DE REMOLQUE O.E.M.
1. Retire el escudo de calor en los modelos 2002 y anteriores.
2. Agrande la ranura delantera en el fondo del marco para que quepan las placas de tornillos de 1/4” x 1 x 2” (6 mm x 25 mm x 50 mm), en ambos
lados.
3. Levante los soportes laterales a su posición, alineando el agujero 1 en la abrazadera con el tornillo de carrocería del extremo trasero. Instale sin
apretar el tornillo hexagonal de 12 mm con una arandela de seguridad y una arandela plana de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en ambos lados, como se muestra.
4. Usando los agujeros 2 y 4 en el soporte lateral como guía, taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en el marco. Use el alambre halador para instalar
los tornillos de carrocería de 7/16 x 1-3/4” (11 x 44 mm) con placas de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero de acceso y en los agujeros
taladrados.
Instale una arandela cónica y una tuerca hexagonal de 7/16” (11 mm) en el tornillo. En ambos lados.
NOTA: No apriete el tornillo de carrocería en la ubicación del agujero 2 hasta reinstalar el escudo de calor. (Paso 6 arriba)

3. Instale tuerca de carrocería de 1/2” x 2” (12.5 mm x 50 mm) con una placa de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero
2 en el soporte y el agujero grande al extremo del marco. Coloque un bloque de 1/4” x 1-1/2” x 3” (6 mm x 38 mm x
75 mm) en el tornillo de carrocería e instale sin apretar una arandela plana de 1/2” (12.5 mm), arandela de seguridad y
tuerca hexagonal.
4. Mida 85mm hacia adelante desde el centro del tornillo de carrocería y taladre un agujero de1/2” (12.5 mm) en el fondo
del marco.
NOTA: El agujero taladrado debe alinear con el agujero 3 del soporte lateral.
5. Instale una tuerca de carrocería de 1/2” x 2” (12.5 mm x 50 mm) con una placa de tornillo de 1/4” (6 mm) a través del agujero
3 en el soporte lateral y el agujero taladrado en fondo del marco. Instale sin apretar una arandela plana, arandela
de seguridad y tuerca hexagonal de 1/2” (12.5 mm), en ambos lados.
7. Reinstale el alambre de tierra a uno de los agujeros no utilizados en el soporte lateral o la platina.

1. Retire los dos (2) tornillos delanteros del soporte del parachoques y entregue al propietario del vehículo, en ambos lados.
2. Levante los soportes laterales del enganche a su posición, alineando el agujero 4 del soporte con la tuerca soldada delantera
en el marco. Instale el tornillo hexagonal M10 suministrado con una arandela cónica de 3/8” (9 mm) en la tuerca soldada en el
marco, apriete con la mano.
3. Asegúrese que los soportes laterales del enganche estén paralelas al marco y marque el agujero 2 del soporte del enganche
en los soportes del parachoques del vehículo. Retire los tornillos M10 y las arandelas y baje los soportes laterales inferiores
temporalmente.
4. Retire los tres (3) tornillos restantes de los tornillos del soporte del parachoques y retire los soportes del parachoques del
vehículo. Taladre un agujero de 1/2” (12.5 mm) en los soportes del parachoques en la ubicación marcada.
5. Instale un tornillo de carrocería de 1/2” x 2” (12.5 mm x 50 mm) con un bloque de 1/4” x 1-1/2 x 2” (6 mm x 38 mm x
50 mm) en la ranura grande en el marco, en ambos lados, como se muestra.
6. Alinee el agujero taladrado sobre el tornillo de carrocería y reinstale los soportes del parachoques usando los tres (3)
tornillos que fueron retirados en el paso 4.
7. Levante los soportes laterales del enganche de vuelta a su posición, alineando el agujero 2 con el tornillo de carrocería e
instale sin apretar las arandelas planas de 1/2” (12.5 mm), arandelas de seguridad de 1/2” (12.5 mm), y tuercas
hexagonales. Reinstale el tornillo hexagonal M10 suministrado con una arandela cónica de 3/8” (9 mm) en la tuerca
soldada delantera del marco.

Esta garantía limitada cubre los productos producidos por Cequent Consumer Products, Inc., o productos del remolque de Cequent, Inc.(herein colectivamente “Cequent"). Cequent garantiza sus
enganches, Receptores de Enganche a la medida, y Controles de Bamboleo desde la fecha de su compra contra defectos en materiales y mano de obra bajo uso y servicio normal, exceptuando el
desgaste ordinario, por la vida de propiedad del comprador original. Cequent reemplazará SIN COSTO cualquier pieza que se demuestre defectuosa en materiales o mano de obra cuando sea
