The Vienna 5G System Level Simulator evaluates the performance of large scale 5G networks through Monte Carlo simulations. It can model different base station and user types, uses flexible object oriented programming in MATLAB, and evaluates several key performance metrics. The simulator models aspects of the network elements, geometry, propagation effects, path loss models, channel models, transmissions, scheduling, and provides performance evaluation metrics.

List of Features General Functionality The Vienna 5G System Level Simulator evaluates the average performance of large scale networks by means of Monte Carlo simulations.
• Multiple base station and user types in one simulation
• Flexible implementation using OOP in MATLAB • Several performance metrics are evaluated (SINR, average user throughtput etc.) • Downlink transmission
