OBJECTIVE

After spending my formative years as a teacher in Foothills School Division, I am looking to continue my
professional development with the Calgary Board of Education. I am eager to pursue new opportunities to
improve my instructional and assessment practices while continuing developing my collaborative and
leadership skills. Renewing my commitment to innovative teaching practices, improving through reflection
and self-assessment, all while building new school and learning community connections are my goals for the
2020-2021 school year and beyond.

Grade 7-9 Math and Science, Makerspace 8 & 9 Option
 Increased academic rigour by connecting concepts in Math and Science, focusing enduring skills and
understandings, and emphasizing transfer and transformation.
 Implemented a variety of universal and targeted supports for all students, while also working with learning
coaches and co-teachers to provide adaptations and accommodations for students on ILPs and BSPs.
 Acted in a leadership role as Teacher in Charge for administrators when they were away.
 Coached Grade 7 girls triple ball, sprints and relays, and supported my colleague with coaching cheer.
 Sponsored GSA activities and events, and connected our GSA with other GSA’s in the division in my role as
GSA Network coordinator.
 Facilitated weekly remedial and enrichment math tutorials.
 Acted as teacher representative for EOJHS School Council.
