QUESTION 1

Pixxles is a marketing based company located in Johor Bahru, Johor, are looking for a
qualified Digital Media Specialist to join their team. The candidate will lead their
marketing efforts using new media and digital tools. The position will be based in the
Bandar Baru Uda branch and the candidate will work under marketing manager
supervision. It is an exempt position and coded as MI07. The job was analyzed on
October 2016 and verified April 2017. Therefore, you as a newly appointed human
resource executive have been instructed to draft a job description.

As a Digital Media Specialist, the candidates will design digital media campaigns aligned
with business goals (30%). Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website,
blogs, press releases and podcasts) (25%). Liaise with Marketing, Sales and Product
development teams to ensure brand consistency (10%), suggest and implement direct
marketing methods to increase profitability (20%). Stay up-to-date with digital media
developments as well as manage end-to-end digital projects (15%).

The candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in BSc degree in Marketing, Digital media
or relevant field with proven work experience as a Digital media specialist or Digital
marketing manager and experience with visual communication principles. The
candidates must have solid knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro,
Audacity or other media editing software. Other than that, as digital media specialist, the
candidate should familiar with web design and content management systems and strong
verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent analytical and project
management skills.
