Introdução

BEATRIZ- Good Morning Classe, today we will talk about The


Future Of Work.
During our apresentation I would like you to reflect on what you
will hear about this subject.

ANA - I’ll start by asking:
 How did you envision your career when you
were 10? Do you remember?

 Did you envision your city?
 Your office building?
 Your desk?
 Your commute?
You probably thought about it, but I don't think you imagined what
I'm going to show you now.

TELMA - Workin in other places than offices, for example, wasn’t a
reality in our childhood and nowadays, due to technology, we are
able to work anywhere. In this way, we avoid enclosed spaces and
it becomes much freer.

Historically, work was where and for which company, but work is
an envolving term.
How did we get here?

JOANA- Well, it all began with these groups of primitive men,
where their job was to hunt to feed.

However, later, the Neolithic Revolution took place. And it was the
wide-scale transition of many human cultures during the Neolithic
period from a lifestyle of hunting and gathering to one of
agriculture and settlement, making an increasingly larger
population possible.These settled communities permitted humans
to observe and experiment with plants to learn how they grew and
developed.

LEONEL- After that, already many years ahead, we can see
Agrarian America, already much more evolved obvious, with small
farms and skilled craftsman.

Shortly after 1700, the first industrial revolution took place, where
we moved from farms to factories

In the Second Industrial Revolution we moved from factories to


bigger and more efficient factories with the evolution of
technology.

The Third Industrial Revolution took a place when we went from


mechanical to digital era

BEATRIZ - In this way we can see work is basically constant until


brief but explosive periods of change. (Passar Slide)
But is the 4th industrial revolution underway? (Passar Slide)
TELMA - We can see that 36 per cent of US workers are gig
workers and 24 per cent of all workers have na alternative work
arrangement as their primary job. (Passar Slide)
