On the command “Seipai’,‘open eyes. move into the yoi position with ibuki (figs. 3 to 5). Move forward with the right leg turning 90° into mae iba dachi covering with left shotei and position the right arm for the strike (fig. 6). Execute a slow right jodan haishu, bring the left hand back closed to the ready punch position (fig. 7). From this position move the right leg across turning the body 90° into right zenkutsu dachi and block left osae uke (fig. 8). Move forward into left zenkutsu dachi and punch left chudan oi tsuki with the open right hand placed on the left forearm (tig. 9). Move forward with the right leg turning 90° into mae kiba dachi and strike right jodan hiji ate with the left hand placed over the right fist as illustrated (figs. 10 and 11). With the hands in this position bring the right leg back into tsuru ashi dachi and kick right jodan yoko geri (figs. 12and 13). Return into tsuru ashi dachi (fig. 14) and turn 180° clockwise placing the right leg down into kiba dachi looking to the left and slowly block simultaneously with right shuto chudan uchi uke and left shuto gedan barai (fig. 15). With the hands in this position bring the left leg back into tsuru ashi dachi, kick left jodan yoko geri (figs. 16 to 17). Return into tsuru ashi dachi and down into mae kiba dachi, looking to the right and slowly block simultancously with right shuto chudan uchi uke and left shoto gedan barai (fig. 18). ‘Move the left leg across covering with the right elbow and prepare to strike (fig. 19). Complete the turn into left zenkutsu dachi and strike right gyaku shuto yoko ganmen returning the left fist closed to the ready punch position (fig. 20). With the hands in this position kick left tobi mae geri (fig. 21). Land into mae kiba dachi having turned the body 90° clockwise and strike with left jodan hijiate with the right hand placed over the left fist and kiai (fig. 22). ‘Move the right leg across turning 90° into right zenkutsu dachi and block right morote chudan uchi uke (igs. 23 to 25) (N.b. the supporting left hand is open). ‘Move the right leg into right sanchin dachi turning the body 90° and cover with right chudan soto uke returning the left hand closed to the ready punch position (fig, 26).
