Indonesia: PT Energi confirms Sepanjang Island flow well
test exceeds 9,000 bpd

The Indonesian oil and gas company, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) today reported that its operating subsidiary, EMP Kangean Ltd, has
successfully flow tested oil from the SED-1A appraisal well on Sepanjang Island in the Kangean PSC, East Java on November 22, 2006. The SED-
1A is a horizontal well appraising the Ngimbang Carbonate in close proximity to the SI-1 oil discovery well drilled by Arco in 1990. The SED-1A is
being drilled employing Under Balanced Drilling (UBD) technology to maximize the productive potential of the Ngimbang Carbonate Reservoir. At
measured depth of7,916 feet, the well began flowing oil on Wednesday 22 November 2006 afternoon. A subsequent flow test produced clean, 30.4
API gravity crude at facility constrained rates of approximately 9,000 BOPD at a wellhead pressure of 560 psig. No water production was recorded
after clean up and there were only minor quantities of gas accompanying the oil. The well is now drilling ahead to a total measured depth of
approximately 9,800 feet to further appraise the reservoir. Initial oil flow test data suggests high productivity and a significant oil column in the
Ngimbang Carbonate. BPMIGAS approved the Plan of Development for the field in November 2005 and early production facilities have already
been installed on the island. At total depth, the well will be completed for production commencing early December, 2006. Source: PT Energi
