Who is the Master of your house?

Men may rule the world but women rule the roost, a recent study that shows
women wield considerably more decision-making power than men within
marriages. Researchers found that wives, on average, displayed more power
than their husbands during problem-solving discussions, regardless of who
brought up the topic of discussion.
And it‟s not simply a case of women talking more than men. “They were
communicating more powerful messages, and men were responding to those
messages by agreeing or giving in.”

Women Have Marriage Power

A recent case study involved 118 married couples who were observed and
evaluated while they discussed problems in their relationship of their own choosing. The
average age of the participants was about 35 and average length of marriage was seven years.
Researchers videotaped the discussions and then coded the couple‟s behaviors according to a widely
used interaction rating system. The results showed that women appeared to have more power during the
discussions in the form of domineering and dominant behaviors than their husbands.

DNA test in Paternity case for an 85 year old Politician
The Delhi High Court directed the veteran Congress leader and former Governor to Andhra Pradesh to
undergo a DNA test on a suit filed by a young man claiming to be his
biological son. “The wider interest of a child not being declared a
bastard has to be kept in mind” remarked by Justice Ravindra Bhat.

her biological father and there is a need for a conclusive finding to

Raju, the king in Jail:
In his second stint in Chenchalguda prison after the
Supreme Court cancelled his bail, Raju has unlimited access to the
internet and even mobile connectivity, alleged by jail

Sports: Tendulkar, five centuries away to surpass First Class Tally

By next year, the cricket god Sachin Tendulkar may achieve another monumental feat by completing a
century of centuries in International Cricket. (He has 46 in ODIs right now). Statisticians and hard-to-
please critics will point out to one peak that has yet to be scaled by the legend.
Not much has been mentioned about it. Tendu is just five centuries away from overtaking Sunil
Gavaskar”s Indian record of 81 first class centuries. Besides 50 centuries, Tendulkar has 27 centuries in
first class cricket, and currently stands at 77, second behind Gavaskar.
Tendulkar‟s 77 centuries include 50 in Tests, 16 in Ranji Trophy, 1 for
Mumbai in tour match against Australians, 3 for West Zone in Duleep
Trophy, 5 for Indians in overseas tour matches, 1 for Rest of India in Irani
Cup and 1 for Yorkshire in county cricket.
Gavaskar, by the way had only 35 International centuries, 34 in Tests, 47
in other first class matches. Hope our Master will surpass this record too.
