Working with Guitar Duo

Alexandra Christodimou and Yannis Petridis

The Project

Alexandra Christodimou and Yannis Petridis are two guitarists from Greece who have been
working with young composers to create new works for Guitar Duo, a program sponsored by
the Boston based new music ensemble Alea III.

The performers are open to working with Berklee student composers who wish to write new
pieces for them. The new works will be presented in Boston during their 2021 USA-Canada
tour.

Composers interested in participating in the Workshop will attend three group meetings with
the performers discussing the instrument, the repertoir for two guitars and other relevant
issues. Composers who will decide to proceed with the creation of a new piece will work closely
with the performers during the creative period. Finished works should be delivered to the
performers by November 15, 2020.
