Every word may have more than one meaning, depending on how it is used.
ـ ﹲﺔ – ﻟﹸــﻐthe literal meaning of a word in the original 3rabic language that the 3rabs used
ﺡ ﻼﺻـﻄ – ﺍthe technical meaning of a word
• literal meaning- an agreement
• technical meaning – the agreement of certain group of scholars of a particular science1 on giving
something a name after moving it from its original usage.
Example:
ـ ﹲﺔﻟﹸــﻐ ﺡ

A way or a method e.g. ﺍﷲ ﺔﺳﻨ In Minhaj – a certain kind of way of the

There are several different sciences in Islaam in which many different terminologies are used e.g. Arabic (12 Sciences); Basics of

Jurisprudence; Jurisprudence; Basics of Tafseer; Tafseer; Tareekh; Mustalah; Jarh wa Ta3deel; at-Takhreej; al-Faraa’idh, etc. These
different sciences use terms that may not necessarily mean the same in the 3rabic language, let alone with other sciences.

ﻼﺻـﻄﺍ
Principle If two (2) identical letters come in a row, the first one bearing a sukoon and the second being a ﻙﺤﺮ
ﺘﻣ
(vowelled), the two will be fused together and marked with a ﺓﺷﺪ to indicate a doubled- letter.
