Discover the Love of Christ

Frostproof, Florida May 2020

Dear Church Family,

I really miss not being able to attend church because I miss the fellowship
with brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that this virus will soon be a thing
of the past. Even though we cannot assemble together, we still remain the
church, the body of Christ.
I believe that God will use this pandemic to remind all of us of some things
that we sometimes take for granted:
1. I think we are reminded of just how important people are. You have heard
me say we are not meant to be “Lone Ranger” Christians. We are trying to
connect with others now and may that continue.
2. We are reminded how important it is that we stay connected to God. In
our times of isolation, we have time to rekindle our Bible study and prayer
life.
3. We are reminded that we are not in control, but God is. We call that the
sovereignty of God. God has not caused this virus but has allowed it to Happy
happen for reasons known only to Him. We live in a broken world because Mother’s
of sin and we see its effects daily. Day
4. We have been reminded that life is uncertain and it is brief. We don’t Inside this issue:
know what tomorrow will bring.
5. We know that our hope is in a resurrected and living God. He holds the 1
keys to “death and hades” and He is alive forevermore! What a Savior! Pastor’s Remarks

We celebrate Mother’s Day on May 10. Thank God for mothers and the role Florida Baptist Children’s 2
