In the future, more and more people will become vegetarian. What would be pros and cons of
giving up meat? Discuss.
The vegetarian diet completely delivers nutrition, provides health benefits and helps alleviate
world hunger. A vegetarian diet can meet protein requirements, provide all the essential amino-
acids, and improve health. Moreover, human’s body can be delivered all the necessary vitamins,
fats, and minerals, which mean that one’s health is improved. A non-meat food can help relieve
world hunger. To production of beef proteins is used ten times more plant protein. Due to that
fact people are claimed that if these grains were fed to humans instead of animals, more food
would be available for all people in chronic hunger worldwide. Vegetarian are considered to kill
animals for food is cruel and unethical when non-meat options are available. Animals are sentient
beings that have emotions and social connections. Consequently, scientific studies show that
cattle, pigs, chickens, and all warm-blooded creatures can experience stress, pain and even fear.
On the other hand, many opponents of a vegetarian diet are claimed that eating meat is not cruel
or unethical but just a natural part of the cycle of life. Furthermore, they are considered to eat
meat is the most convenient protein source available resulting in enhance the function of the
immune and nervous systems. Owing to researches, it is shown that plants respond
electrochemically to threats and may of them feel fear, so vegetarians are also causing harm
every time they kill and eat a plant. In one serving, meat provides all the essential amino-acids as
well as essential nutrients such as iron, zinc and B vitamins which cannot be found in plants.
What is more, because of saturated fats contain the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K and the
cholesterol from saturated animal fat, meat is needed for the proper function of serotonin
receptors in the brain.
In conclusion, vegetarian diet has some positive and negative effects on human body, especially
it affects the health. However, nowadays we have choice weather or not we will cross off meat
from our diet. In the future, it might be necessity to eat only vegetables, since the world food
resources are ended up. It is time to reduce wisely some amount of meat in our diet and
remember that balances diet is the best fare for our health.
