Concept of the song Religion was formed as a means of attempting communal with god, but with

time they warped and deteriorated due to the fallacies of human nature. The song attempts to
describe how the path of spirituality begins with atheism, then growing suspicions of a
supernatural force of life and death, and finally embarking on the near eternal journey of finding
that HIDDEN MYSTERIOUS force.

Video concept Showing a non believer who shuns all places of worship, going through a near
fatal but life transforming experience, which leads him to ponder about the existence of god.
Travelling throughout the world, he explores and embraces various faiths one by one, pursuing
spirituality, rejecting all of them. Frustrated by his continuously failing attempts, he finally hears
of an scarred ascetic living north in the himalayas, who, once a normal guy like him, was
rumoured to have found the answer to the same burning question that drove this guy as well
(show the scarred ascetics penance just briefly, and at the end, the scene where finally he opens
his eyes showing that he attained enlightenment.) The young man travels north, bearing the
hostile weather, in search of the elusive monk. His attempts are futile, till he meets an old man,
planting a seed, who tells him about an ancient sacred cavern where the scarred monk used to
stay in penance.

Finding the cavern, the young man ventures inside. Having to climb at many places, he falls
many times on slippery rocks, leaving scars on his body. ( Sing something like 'greatness comes
only after sustaining many a fall and injury') Undaunted, he continues his search for the monk.
Finally, tired and frustrated once again, he rests for a while. In his dreams, he sees a huge pillar
of light reaching upto the sky, surrounded by various symbols. Upon coming closer, he realizes
that the symbols are those of different religions. Moving to the midst of the pillar itself, he sees
the insides of the various religious buildings he'd been to ( temples, churches, mosques etc) in a
flash, just before he wakes up. (Show the seed planted by the old man beginning to sprout out of
the ground)

Consumed with curiosity, he begins meditating upon the dream. He slowly goes into a deep
trance, which lasts several years (shown by the change of seasons and the sprouted plant growing
into a tree). In his trance, the young man sees himself travellling cities, and mysterious wisps of
light entering the bodies of expectant mothers undergoing labour pains. He also sees similar light
wisps leaving the bodies of people who died. Crossing the cities as he follows the wisps, he finds
himself climbing snowy hills and valleys. Standing atop a high cliff, he sees a large luminiscent
being of light, from where the wisps emerged, and also where they converged. He climbs down
to see the being closely. As he approaches, the being senses his presence and flees. Chasing the
being across land, seas and skies, he sees fragments of the being falling down, from where trees,
springs, mountains, islands and rivers emerge. After going round the world itself, he's lead back
to the snowy mountain ranges he first spotted the being. It escapes into a cavern, where he chases
it down to a dead end. At last, when he thought he had it cornered, the thing explodes into a
thousand smithereens which fly off in all directions and vanish, leaving a huge pillar of light.
Moving closer, the man sees a figure seated in the centre of the pillar. As he approaches the
figure, he sees scars on its body, and he assumes its the monk. When he's finally near the monk,
the monk opens his eyes, and the young man awakes in shock, realising he'd grown a beard and
long hair! Far away, standing underneath the fully grown tree, looking towards the snowy peak,
the old man smiles, holding the fruit fallen from the tree, and the rays of the morning sun reveal
the scars on his hand
