Ans) Firstly we have to understand what are metanarratives, meta narratives are
universal truths or big stories which give legitimacy to small stories. They offer
larger explanations of reality. Post modernists believe that there is no single truth
and there can be no single explanation for anything so in the post modern era
there is no place for metanarratives. It depends on each and every individual to
decide what the truth is. Hence, the concept of one static truth that is believed by
all is not applicable. No universal values are applicable on anyone and everyone
has a right to choose what they want to do.
