Internet Social Interaction

We all hear email wooshes, twitter birds tweet, and texting noises every day. But

is this a bad thing? Think about this… If we use theses devices every day for simple

ways of communication and don’t have a daily problem that will keep you from using it,

then why should it change? Some people today are saying that we use these devices

too much and that we should get rid of social media and texting. I believe that today

there are no major problems -that can’t be fixed in seconds- with our forms of

communication today because you can use it with ease, they’ve become almost a

necessity, and as I said before, there are no problems that can’t be fixed with a few

buttons pushed, and mouses clicked.

One reason I have to support my argument is that the way we talk and use

electronics today hasn’t been complained about -except by the opposition to this

argument. Why should we fix what doesn’t need fixing? Today our ways of

communication work very well. People talk to each other with ease, and these devices

are useful for easy notifications about what's going on in other people’s lives. So once

again I say, why should we fix what isn’t broken.

Another reason to support my argument is that it is easy to use. Why do you

think we invented social media, texting, and what else? They made it for easy

communications and ways of knowing what's going on in other people's lives. Things

like Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter let people share their thoughts and feelings of
what is going on in theirs, and others’ daily lives. You can show emotion through

pictures, emoticons, etc, for those worried about showing emotion. All of these modern

forms of communication are quick and easy.

One last reason that the internet/forms of communications today are fine is that

they also have the benefit of starting relationships. And they don’t have to just be

romantic, because you can look at people’s accounts on social media, and see if you

have similar interests. After that, you can direct message them, or text them, or even

facetime them if you want to talk face to face. This way you can become friends and

even more than that. And through these forms of communication, you just gained a new

friend/girlfriend or boyfriend. So by communication standards, I think we’re sitting pretty.

In conclusion, I believe that our forms of communication and the use of electronic

devices today are more than fine. They are all evolving at an alarming rate, becoming

better and better as we go. Social media and texting today have many advantages.

They can help start relationships, we can use them with ease ( notification, texting, etc.)

and people haven’t really complained about it, other than the opposition's argument. So

with all of this in mind, I state that there isn’t anything wrong with today's forms of

communication through electronic devices.
