To view Readme.txt on screen in Notepad, maximize the Notepad window.
To print Readme.txt, open it in Notepad or another word processor,
then use the Print command on the File menu.

1) Installing AS-225 Software
=======================
To Start the Veritrax AS-225 Setup Wizard click the
Veritrax_AS-225_v..... .exe file in the install file folder. It's recommended
to install the AS-225 software in: "C:\Program Files\Rosslare\Veritrax AS-225.
After installation is completed, replace the file veritrax.exe in veritrax AS225
installation directory with the new veritrax.exe file which was extructed from *
.rar file.
This Veritrax AS-225 version can be installed over previous versions
and update it automaticly. Previous configuration and events will
remain. Older Veritrax AS-225 versions prior to 0.00.02 will not be updated
and it is required to remove them prior to installing the version.

2) Operating AS-225 Software And Default Passwords
=========================
To start the AS-225 Program in Admin mode:
1. On the "Start menu", click "Programs" then click "Rosslare\Veritrax AS-225".
2. At the first operation select the user name "administrator" and enter
password: "admin" .
To start the AS-225 Program in Guard mode:
1. On the "Start menu", click "Programs" then click "Rosslare\Veritrax AS-225".
2. Select the user name"security" and enter password: "secur" .
To start the AS-225 Program in Engin mode:
1. On the "Start menu", click "Programs" then click "Rosslare\Veritrax AS-225".
2. Select the user name "engineer" and enter password: "engin" .

3) HASP key requirements
=========================
HASP key is a USB key which is required to enable AS-225 operation
when large number of panels are installed. Upto 64 active panels can be
activated with no HASP key. For larger number of panels HASP key is
required. Different models of HASP key required according number of
panels. HASP key levels:
Level 1: 1 - 64 panels (HASP key not required)
Level 2: 65 - 255 panels (HASP key required)
Level 3: 256- 512 panels (HASP key required)
Level 4: 513- 1023 panels (HASP key required)

4) PC Operating System Support
=========================
This tool has been tested under the following PC operating systems:
Windows XP SP2.
Support operation system:
Windows Server 2003 SP1
Windows XP Professional SP2
Windows XP Home Edition SP2
Windows Vista English

5) PC Hardware Minimum Requirements
=========================
The following minimum configuration is required to run AS-225:
* PC-compatible Pentium®4-class system
* Supported Windows operating system (see section 3)
* 256 MB memory (512 MB recommended)
* 1 GB of hard disk space
* 500 MB of free hard disk space for runtime

6) Multiple Installations AS-225
=========================
Multiple installations of AS-225 on one PC is not recommended.

7) IP modules support
=========================
TCP-IP module MD-N32 or MD-IP32 recommended firmware version is V4.6.
=========================
8) Known Problems
=========================
* When using MD-N32 TCP/IP to Serial gateway to connect between AS-225 and
access control hardaware panels, it may be required to power-on reset the
MD-N32 unit after it is configured from AS-225.
* Language support - Operating system language should be identical to
Veritrax AS225 selected language. Activating the software in a language
different from the operating system language may cause garbage fonts to
appear.
* Modem Network communication spead is limitted to 9600 or 19200 bits per
 second due to inconsistant operation at higher speeds.
* In Windows XP SP2, Serbian fonts can only be displayed correctly when
changing the Operator Language in Veritrax to "Serbian" and installing
Serbian fonts in Windoes XP.
* During installation of SQL Express SP2 on Vista you may get this error:

To proceed, see "Troubleshooting an Installation of SQL Server 2005" or
"How to: View SQL Server 2005 Setup Log Files" in SQL Server 2005 Setup
Help documentation.

To solve it follow those steps:
1. Is UAC enabled on your Vista machine ?
control panel -> security center -> User account Control
is it ON ? if not change it to ON.
2. Start menu -> Right click on command prompt -> Run as Administrator
3. Run following command:
winmgmt /verifyrepository
4. If you see following error go to step 5
WMI repository is INCONSISTENT
Else
if it says the repository is consistent - go to step 6
5. Run following command twice:
winmgmt /salvagerepository
On first run you may see a following error:
"WMI repository salvage failed
Error code: 0x8007041B
Facility: Win32
Description: A stop control has been sent to a service that other
running services are dependent on."
However second time it should return:
"WMI repository has been salvaged"
6. After that SQL Express setup should finish fine. try to inatall again.
