GAPPS is an independent, collaborative, not-for-profit
organisation that develops and makes available
performance based competency standards free of
charge. GAPPS is a unique alliance of government,
private industry, professional associations and
training/ academic institutions working together to
develop globally applicable project management
competency based standards, frameworks and
mappings.
The aim of the GAPPS is to provide the global project
management community with information that is
freely available for use by businesses, academic
institutions, professional associations, and government
standards and qualifications bodies globally. GAPPS
welcomes any organisation or government agency
that wants to participate to join as members and
start building global standards together.
GAPPS has successfully defined the Project
Manager role that allows the use of the standards
across the whole range of organisations, applications
areas and project types. GAPPS global performance
based standards:
• Provide a framework for assessment and
development of project management skills.
• Facilitate mutual recognition and transferability
of project management qualifications.
• Can be customized to support existing project
management cultures, processes, tools and models.
• Can be used as a mapping tool against other

GAPPS Working Sessions

The work of the GAPPS is done, primarily, through our working sessions. These are three day events
where members come together to give their all in researching, debating, writing and reviewing standards.
You are invited to join us at our next working session. Attendance fees are heavily discounted for
members however individuals can attend as well.
