To Whom It May Concern

It is very important to have a clear goal in life in order to be successful. Since graduating, I
have been working in the apparel industry for 5 years, during which, I got to learn new
things every day. But at this point in life, I believe that, in able to make myself more
competent I really need to get familiar with the latest technology and inventions related to
this sector.

I realized, it is best to choose my Post-graduation in a subject that not only focuses on the
latest technology and inventions related to this sector but also makes me confident
enough to cope with upcoming challenges. However, it is uncommon to find my chosen
field of studies conducted in English, while allowing me to finance my studies myself.
After doing some research I found that Hochschule Niederrhein offers a program for
Masters in “Management of textile Trade & Technology”. This came as a glimmer of hope
and I feel confident that I can get the best possible education from here, as German
Universities are ranked amongst the best in Europe. With my experience, I am in search
of taking my career to the next level and this program’s focus is in line with my
professional goals. Additionally, the mandatory study abroad semester provides a great
grounding in which to experience divergent culture & exchange knowledge. I am certain
that the knowledge & skills learnt from my professional experience, university and
extracurricular activities would be a valuable asset while studying for a Master of
Management of Textile Trade & Technology at Hochschule Niederrhein.

My Country, Bangladesh, has the world’s second biggest garment industry, beaten only
by China. RMG exports from Bangladesh are still rising around 16% every year. For our
country 80% foreign income is generated by the apparel industry. Therefor it is very
important that we adapt and keep improving ourselves to keep this sector alive and
strong. As most of the customers are from Europe, during my stay I’ll also be able to
experience the buying nature of the customers while getting a practical experience of the
market.

During my career in merchandising within the apparel industry, I have had the pleasure of
working with brands such as: New Yorker, Carrefour, Springfield, C&A. Due to this I am
accustomed to work and operate with Europeans and I am easy to get along with. I am
much enthused to contribute to the apparels industry in Bangladesh and am confident that
I have the necessary qualification to perform well in the program. From this program I
would like to develop myself both professionally and personally through an international
experience.
