Execution and Control of Operations

Focus on the areas of prioritizing and sequencing work, executing work plans and implementing controls,
reporting activity results, and providing feedback on performance. The course explains techniques for
scheduling and controlling production processes, the execution of quality initiatives and continuous
improvement plans, and the control and handling of inventories. Topics include:
Prioritizing and Sequencing Work
Executing Plans and Implementing Controls
Authorizing and Reporting Activities for Push and Pull Systems
Evaluating Performance and Providing Feedback.

Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) Module


The online courses in the APICS CPIM Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) module are organized
into the following domains as outlined in the CPIM Exam Content Manual:

• Sequencing Work to be Performed and Executing the Plans (5 hours)


• Implementing Physical Controls and Reporting Results of Activities (5 hours)
• Evaluating Performance and Providing Feedback (4 hours)

For each domain, courses have been developed that offer a comprehensive package of tools and
techniques to help you determine your level of mastery of the content and provide an additional
opportunity for review. The module consists of two major components:

1. Self-Assessment Courses (3 courses)


A Self-Assessment course is provided for each domain so that you may evaluate your understanding of the
subject matter and build a custom study plan based on your results and needs.
2. Body of Knowledge Courses (9 courses)
The Body of Knowledge courses provide in-depth coverage of the concepts in each ECO domain to
increase your knowledge and help you prepare for the exam.
