Reinforced my ability to coordinate communication between a team and see how a big initiative required complex, detailed work between many teams, as well as large-scale communications with the rest of the bank. Extended my appreciation of how to target external ‘clients’, in this case students at university. Activities and Achievements
• Students Union – Team Leader role: Organised teams to accomplish tasks effectively and took an assertive role when required, worked well under pressure and maintained a high level of motivation within staff to ensure a positive team attitude. • Athletics and Cross Country Club - Treasurer (2005-2006): Managed finances of club and strengthened skills in planning and organisation. Worked as a team with the rest of the club exec to ensure successful running of club. • Clublands Society – President (2006-2007): Organising trips to various clubs in Birmingham and London. Involved high levels of organisation and being proactive in publicising and organising events. Took initiative to raise money for the society through glowstick selling in order to subsidise events for members. • Coventry Peace House – Volunteer: Night shelter for destitute asylum seekers. Worked in a team and ran Peace House fortnightly for an evening. Responsible for needs of users and adapted to bridge communication difficulties. • Sports Achievements: Middlesex Cross Country Champion 2001, Middlesex Schools 3000m 1st place 2002.
