Regular Forms
Adjectives and adverbs can be either regular or irregular,
depending on how their comparative and superlative degrees are
formed. The degrees of most adjectives and adverbs are formed
regularly. The number of syllables in regular modifiers determines
how their degrees are formed.
Note About Comparisons With Less and Least: Less and least
can be used to form another version of the comparative
and superlative degrees of most modifiers.
Irregular Forms
The comparative and superlative degrees of a few commonly used
adjectives and adverbs are formed in unpredictable ways.
