Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this Communication Campaign was to educate students at Salt Lake

Girls, hoped Salt Lake Community College students would be able to learn how to better

use technology-based channels to resolve conflict.

Key Messages

The message we want to get across to our audience is that Salt Lake Community College has taken actions for students to continue their

education -online- Students transitioned from person to person to doing schooling right at home. This is a lack of face to face interaction

for students but using other channels for communication such as SLCC bruinmail and Canvas for class instructions, and other external

sources to communicate and teach (such as Zoom) has allowed students to continue on their educational journey. Salt Lake Community

College is taking pride to make the best of the students' experience online during this time.

Greatest Success

• During our first meeting, we all expressed how it important it was to each of us to work
together and earn a good grade. Throughout this course, especially our last unit, we worked
really hard together to do each assignment and project to exceed expectations.
• We were all able to get along right away and had great group chemistry.
• Using great communication skills to figure out all of our schedules to get everything that
we needed and wanted to get done.
• During this project, we learned more about how technology is being used during this
pandemic and how it can help us to get messages across depending on what form you use.
• Learning how to do many of the different techniques used to create each project (from
technology-Youtube/uploading-computer extras [i.e. photoshop]) and improving the skills
we already had.
Lessons Learned

If we had known that corona was going to happen, we could’ve planned ahead of how we
what we were going to do and how we were going to get it done (instead of having plans
change last minute).

Than Ever. Retrieved April 16, 2020, from
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/23/technology/coronavirus-facebook-amazon-youtube.html
In the article found above, it goes into a little bit deeper of the concept of how tech companies are going to rise to the top due
to coronavirus. More and more people are relying on technology to get by or communicate with others, especially since many
people (depending on the state) are forced to stay inside from a shut-down order. Companies and stores are turning to
technology as well to limit the number of people in their stores, thus increasing their demands. Companies, such as Amazon,
have had to hire more employees to keep up with all the demands. Not only has demand been increasing, but so has its
profits. This allows them to be ahead of the game when coronavirus is over, unlike so many other companies that are falling
behind.
