Processes of International Negotiations

I have read an article edited by Frances Mautner-Markhof, Westview Press, San-Francisco. This
article named ''Processes of International Negotiations''. An autor desctibes importance of
negotiations in diplomatic sphere.
International Negotiations take the integral part of a democratic society. Controversy that arise
on the international scene have to be solve in humany way. That is why negotiations are essential
mechanisms for the peaceful resolution of disputes.
An autor share view of both researchers, which is meaning negotiations process at nowadays.
Researchers confirm, the processes of negotiations are not the same as it used to be. The
processes of negotiations became more difficult and less effectivity. For the conducted
investigations, the process of negotiations taking more and more time because they lagging
behind the evolution of the international environment.
In the artical, Frances Mautner-Markhof, also described the emergence of negotiations. The ''PIN
Project'' which is Processes of International Negotiations started in April, 1986. A term was
funded by the Carnegie Corporation. Through initiation the process of international negotiations
we have the ability to deal with uncertainty, unpredictability, uncontrollability, and disputes.
The negotiations became most important thing in international relations. The main purpose of the
negotiations is to maintain international stability. However, accordind to the author's assertion,
time does not stand still for all of us. Often, on international scene are various disputes and in
this way, process of negotianions has to be flexible and fit the times. Moreover, the process of
negotiations gives us ability to conclude international treaties which can beneficial to both sides
of the these process.
The autor of the article is convinced that negotiations are essential mechanism of maintaining
dynamic stability, providing peace around the world. Through democratization of society and so-
called ‘The War on Words’ we’ve been able to save international security and prevented nuclear
war till that day.
Thus, we must uphold the model of peaceful conflict resolution, namely, process of international
negotiation in disputes. Unfortunately, negotiation process cannot be structured, because we lack
a clearly defined model of international actors behave. The main thing that the negotiations
process give us is cooperation between international states, mutually beneficial contracts for
development of humankind.

Дипломатичні переговори це невідємна річ демократичного суспільства. Спрори, які виникають між
державами на міжнародній арені мають вирішуватись в гуманний спосіб. Саме переговори є механізмом
мирного вирішення спорів та конфліктів.
Автор навів доведення дослідників, які проаналізували ситуацію сьогодення. Як описав автор, дослідники
стверджують, що переговорний процес сьогодні вже не такий як був раніше. Переговорний процес в наші
дні стає більш складним і менш ефективним. За наведеними дослідженнями, що автор проілюстрував, що
процеси переговорів почали займати більше часу, адже вони почали відставати від еволюції міжнародного
середовища.
У своїй праці, Frances Mautner-Markhof також розповідає про винекнення переговорів. ПІН-проект, що
розшивровується як Процес міжнародних переговорів бере свій початок у квітні 1986 року. Термін був
розроблений Carnegie Corporation. Завдяки започатнуванню процесу міжнародних переговорів, ми можемо
боротися з невизначеністю, непередбачуваністю, неконтрольованістю та суперечками.
Переговори стали невідємною частиною міжнародних відносин. Основна мета переговорів – зберегти
міжнародну стабільність. Проте, за ствердженням автора, нічого не стоїть на місці. Постійно на міжнародній
арені відбуваються різні суперечки, тому процес переговорів повинен бути гнучким та відповідати часу.
Більше того, процес переговорів дає змогу укладати міжнародні договори, які можуть бути вигідними для
обох сторін переговорного процесу. Переговори це механізм стримування та забезпечення миру у всьому
світі. Автор підтверджує той факт, що завдяки демократизації суспільства та так званій «війні словами» а не
діями нам вдалось зберігати до сьогодні міжнародну безпеку та запобігати ядерним війнам.
Таким чином нам потрібно дотримуватись моделі мирного врегулювання конфліктів, а саме
використовувати переговорний процес у суперечках. Нажаль, переговорний процес неможливо
структурувати, адже ми не маємо чіткої формули щоб спрогнозувати дії міжнародних акторів. Головне, що
нам дає переговорний процес це мирне врегулювання конфліктів, співпрацю та взаємовигідні договори, щоб
покращити умови існування людства та держав в цілому.
