Human Trafficking

Changing the argumentative essay on human trafficking to a remedeiation website was

not hard, it was just time consuming. I started by re-reading my essay and took out important

information, quotes, pictures, videos regarding the crisis.Then, I found more videos and pictures

to put on the website to make it more interesting, and not make it boring. I conducted all of the

information that I needed for the website from the essay and started on the website. My three

main goals for this website was to grab the audience's attention, change the style of the language

from formal to basic, and to make the message more explicit and to the point.

I wanted to make sure to grab the reader's attention and make it stylish. I made sure the

theme of my website matched my crisis, as in dark because human trafficking is a very sad crisis

situation. I added some pop ups on the first page and made sure to get it right to the point to

make the readers understand the point of the website. I added graphic images, vidoes, and made

sure they pop up to grab the audience's attention. I put images and described what each one

means, it explains the statistics of each country that I chose to do which are the United States and

Canada. Each image described each countries human trafficking rates and its statistics of it. In

the first page I made, I added some human trafficking points and describes what human

trafficking is and how bad it is getting.

The way I shaped the website was very easy to read and understand for the audience. The

information I have on the website is straight to the point for both my primary and my secondary

audience. The media and message my website is going to present is how human trafficking is

one of the most growing problems in the world. The website makes it very clear what is it about

which is human trafficking and it is not hard to read. My website is very organized with its

points which are the factual evidence of human trafficking in the United States and Canada. It

also has a tab about safety tips and how to prevent human trafficking. I gave very modern

examples in that tab such as situations at parties,clubs, and any public environments that will be

dangerous for people. I have pictures related to each topic that I cover in the website, Ted Talks

and other videos regarding human trafficking in the United States and Canada. There are quotes

from articles in almost each tab and I tried to change the language of me describing the quotes to

make it less formal and easier to read. The safety tips tab covers a lot of helpful tips on how to be

careful on this matter, who to call for help, and how to prevent it from happening to you or your

loved ones.

The changes I made after I got it revised by a few people were minor yet very helpful and

positive. In general throughout the entire website I did not write long and boring paragraphs that

not alot of people would read in a website. A website needs to be more fun to read, but with my

crisis I made sure it was straight to the point and not boring when people wanted to read and gain

extra information and knowledge about human trafficking. I have a lot of pop ups in the Website

which I think is an eye catcher and it will be easier for the viewer to view my website and find it

more interesting. The language is very different in the website than the essay because the essay

has to be more formal, but the website can not be because we need to get the reader's attention

and hope for them to not lose interest while viewing the website and to gain some knowledge on

this crisis. The website did not affect my argument, if anything it made it more visual because

people prefer to read a few minute website than a ten page essay on the same topic. In general a

website needs to be easier and more interesting to read.

My primary audience is Dr. Khadka, because he is my professor who will be grading my

website project, and he will be the one person that My secondary audience is all the other people

that will be able to view my website about human trafficking and want information on it. Some

people would want a quick review or get information about any crisis or any topic they are

interested in and I believe that my website makes it very clear for people to understand the point

of this crisis and how important it is to take a stand as a community to fight against it. When I

was creating the website, I tried to be as interesting as I could to have many eye catchers for my

viewers. It is very different from an essay, it can not be long and not interesting for the people

reading the website. The context of the website is very clear, I did not have to change a lot from

the essay to write it on the website, other than changing the wording but the idea of it is still the

same which is to make sure people see how important it is to stop human trafficking.

Lastly, My projects purpose is to show whoever that reaches out to my website or anyone

that want to know any type of information about human trafficking, I hope that they find

whatever they are looking for on my website and they could be satisfied ebough with my

information and get the knowledge they need for any type of purpose whethere it could be with

school related topics or projects or general knowledge for a person to know regarding this tragic

crisis of human trafficking. I really hope my project satisfies everyone because i did spend a lot

of days and weeks on it.
