CAR COOLING SYSTEM

 Introduction
When the engine burns the fuel generates a high temperature to 2200 °

C, The engine takes advantage of heat by 30% to 35% to move the

car. As for

the rest of the heat, we get rid of us. Because if the excess heat is not

eliminated, engine damage will occur On the other hand, in the event

that a greater amount of heat is disposed of, additional engine cooling

will occur, resulting in fuel consumption, reduced engine capacity and

corrosion in the engine parts. Therefore, we need a cooling system to

control and adjust the engine temperature

 Basic Components of an Automotive Cooling System

: Radiator .1
The radiator is the most prominent part of the system. Coolant that has
traveled through the engine is pumped through the tubes of the radiator
and is cooled off for another round. The radiator has many channels on
the inside so that the coolant travels all over the place, dissipating heat
at every turn. It also has lots of cooling fins on the outside. These fins
increase the surface area so that even more heat can escape into the air
flowing around the

: Radiator Hose .2
Your cooling system has a number of rubber hoses that move the fluid
from one place to the other. These need to be replaced before they
become brittle and cracked. Even the smallest hose can fail and leave
.you on the side of the road

: Water Pump .3
The water pump does what you think it does - pumps the coolant
through the system. The pump is belt driven, except in the case of some
race cars that use an electric water pump. If your water pump is leaking
coolant under the car, this is a heads-up to replace the water pump
when you can

: Thermostat .4
Your engine isn't always the same temperature. When you start it on a
cold morning, you want it to get warm quickly to get the emission
controls working fully. If you stop in traffic, you want it to cool itself
off. The thermostat controls the flow of coolant so that it cools down
more or less depending on the temperature of the coolant. It rests in a
housing just after the radiator bottom hose
: Electric Fan .5
Many cars these days have an electric fan for either primary or added
cooling. The fan draws air through the radiator when you aren't moving
fast enough to get things cooled down. There is often also an electric
fan on the air conditioning system

: Thermo Time Switch .6

Also known as the fan switch, this is the temperature sensor that tells
the electric fan when to blow. When the coolant reaches a given
temperature, the electric cooling fan switches on to draw more air
through the radiator

 Mechanism of the cooling system in the car engine

The hot coolant passes into the heating cycle of the air conditioner and
the pressure cap of the vacuum tank
It has a spring valve that opens at a certain pressure
The engine block and cylinder head of the water-cooled motors contain
continuous cooling channels that permeate the two bodies, then all the
channels above the cylinder are grouped out from one outlet
As for the pump, it works by running a belt that takes its movement
from a pulley attached to the elbow
The pump pushes hot water from outside the engine to the radiator
It is a form of heat exchange, and this extra heat is transferred to the
outside air via the radiator, then the cold water returns to the entrance
below the engine block Then it flows back into the channels inside the
engine, and the pump usually pushes the cold water of the engine
upward, then the radiator downward, taking advantage of the physical
property that ensures the hot water expands to become lighter in weight
and rises upward than the cold water, so the natural path of hot water
when it comes out of The engine is going up, and the pump only helps
.run that cycle
 Engine cooling system function:
1-Maintaining the operating temperature of the engine.

 2-Eliminate the engine overheating.

3-Quick access to the engine operating temperature.

4-Contribute to the car heating process.
