Juanito:

A man who have a ravishing

look, charming personality,
and rich; supposed groom of
Gina’s daughter, Teadocia;
killed Gina

Gina:
A woman who is very worrisome
but also aggressive; mother of
Gina; murdered by Juanito.

ACT 1

Scene 4

SETTING: In Gina’s Room where there is

a stairway that leads to the
room.

AT RISE GINA is in the middle of the

room, after her daughter died

JUANITO
Hello, Gina.

(Gina nods her head)

GINA
Juanito. What brings you here?

JUANITO
Well you see, Gina, I was supposed to marry your daughter, was I
not? And now that she’s gone- took her own life because of a
worthless man- what do you expect me to do?

GINA
I’m as sorry as you are, Juanito. But there’s nothing much I can
do. Teodocia was my only daughter and now that she’s-
(GINA paused)
Now that she’s gone, I’m afraid that all the wedding plans
obviously have to be cancelled.

(JUANITO grinned)

JUANITO
Ah but you see, that’s where you’re wrong Gina
 I-4-2

(JUANITO pulls out a dagger)

GINA
Juanito, a-are you out of your mind?
(GINA slowly backs
away until her back
hits the wall)

JUANITO
I’m perfectly sane, thank you very much. I also am a very
ambitious man. I think you know that, Gina. I always get what I
want. Say hi to Tea for me would you? Pity that she killed
herself for someone useless.
(JUANITO slits GINA’S
throat)
(JUANITO fakes
a gasp and shocked
expression)
Oh dear, I didn’t expect this much blood to ooze through your
filthy throat. Oh well.
(JUANITO starts
cleaning his dagger)

JUANITO
Now that you’re gone, I get to inherit your wealth and your wife.
The wedding plans are going to be cancelled you said?
(JUANITO chuckles)
(JUANITO kneels beside
GINA’S lifeless body
and strokes her hair)

JUANITO
I’m sorry but Roberta is waiting for me downstairs.
(JUANITO stands up and
fixes his suit)

JUANITO
I win.
(JUANITO walks away with a grin)
