We have seen and known some famous Narrative and Oral Tradition

because that is part in our life. Here in the Philippines has so many of them. An
Oral tradition is information knowledge held by a group of people over many
generations. Folklore, Culture studies, Beliefs, Customs, Legends, Songs, Dances
are examples of Oral Tradition. A Narrative is a story that you write in a great
detail. Novels, Dramas, Fables, Folktales, Short stories and Poetry are examples
of Narrative.

We interviewed two people if they know some Oral tradition or famous

Narrative. Romeo Tesoro is one of the interviewed Person, he’s from Davao city
and he’s 50 of age. We asked him if he knew some famous narrative in his
province. He said the Oral tradition in customs and Oral tradition in beliefs like
blowing out candles at birthday celebrations, babies are wearing white at
christenings, taking a gift when invited to someone’s house for dinner, removing
shoes before entering a house. Those are famous oral tradition in custom in his
province. We asked him to sing some famous songs in his province. Mindanao,
Matod nila, Baleleng, Abutchiki, Tayo’y dabawenyo and Ubas saranggani are
some of the song’s he knew. John Hector Figuro is also one of our interviewed
Person he’s now 20 of age. We asked him the same questions, even though his
parents did not raise him in Davao but he knew some famous oral tradition in
legends like Hercules, Atlantis, Roobin – hood, Griffins, Pegasus and Medusa.The
Famous Legends, Song’s, Stories, beliefs are still known in our generation. I’m so
lucky to know them. The 21st Century Literature helps us to have critical thinking
and problem-solving that advocates believe schools need to teach to help
students thrive in today's world. It also helps students gain a better
understanding of the societies which produce the literature to foster greater
empathy for others. There are so many famous of oral tradition and narrative.
Example of famous poems are Three little pigs, Cinderella, Annabel lee, Casey at
the bat. Examples of Famous Dramas, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, King Lear.
Example of famous fables are the rat and the elephant, the boy who cried wolf.
Examples of famous folktales are mother mountain, the necklace and the comb.
Examples of famous Short stories are the lottery, the overcoat, the tell tale heart,
the gift of the magic. Examples of famous Poetry are the song of Hiwatha,
Richard Cory, the raver, Paul revenes ride. Here are the famous Oral tradition in
beliefs about wedding. It’s a bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the
wedding, the bride wears white to symbolize chastity, the bride needs something
old, something new and something blue. Examples of famous Oral tradition in
Customs. Tip a waiter or waitress for good service. Famous Oral tradition in
beliefs that are superstition. Friday the 13th, Cross your finger for luck, Knock on
wood for good luck. Examples of famous Oral traditions in proverbs. Actions
speak louder than words, If ain’t broke don’t fix it, good thing’s come to those
who wait. Example of famous Oral Tradition in Songs. Alphabet songs, Jack and
Jill, Ten little Indian, Twinkle twinkle little star, London bridge, Mary had a little
lamb. Examples of famous oral Tradition in Dances, Walts, Two steps, Break
dance, Square dance, Polkas and Flamenco.

Literature helps us to reach other minds. Literature help a person to take a closer
look at the different facts of life. In many ways it can change one's perspective
towards life. Therefore literature is rather important in our lives. It does help us
to cope with the society. The most important role played by literature is that it
gives a reflection of society. Its good things bad things all, in as it is form. It really
helps in better understand the time period Literary work could depict changing
ideals, also the changing thoughts and qualities of individuals. In other words,
Literature is important in everyday life because it connects individuals with
larger truths and ideas in a society. Literature creates a way for people to record
their thoughts and experiences in a way that is accessible to others, through
fictionalized accounts of the experience.
