An activity to get the kids moving while also having some fun. Using CD’s with shorts songs on
them. Then letting the kids decorate popsicle sticks with markers and stickers to let them be
creative, then attaching colorful ribbon to the ends. This gives the students a chance to be
creative, dance to music and have fun. This activity can be used in doors as well as outdoors.
I would love to use this in my future classroom as I think getting kids up and moving is great and

This lesson is fun and creative. You need a box, some small different objects such as buttons,
pennys, and shells. Then you start off with a song that is sung to the tune Little Brown Jug. You
then ask the children to guess what is inside. After anticipation you will want to see what's
inside. You will help them look and learn what all the objects are and try to identify the sounds.
Each time you take out one of the objects such as all the pennies or the buttons. So each time
you let the students identify the sound of each object but also separate them. Put each object
back in and see if the students can identify the sounds after knowing what they are. This routine
is really good for children and they love it! This game has a lot of different aspects. Counting,
memoring, singing, and engaging with the children on different levels, which is a great tool with
all lessons.

This lesson is about teaching children how to relate sounds of instruments to what they are
listening to. They can use a variety of instruments and then listen to the song ‘what would I do?’
to show them whatever story they are using where their part and instrument should be played.
While not every student will have an instrument the other students can jump and interact in
different ways for the story so that everyone is included in the lesson plan.
