P​ROCEDURE ● Ask students what addition means and what

subtraction means.
● Give a couple of easy verbal math problems that
students are very familiar with.
● If you had 2 apples and I gave you 2 more, how many
would you have? If you had 6 apples and you ate 4,
how many apples would you have left?
● Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarter,
dime, nickel and pennies.

Students successfully will be able to do addition or subtraction
and mastering simple math problems. They will look at the
math sign and problems and they will be able to determine
the action that need to be taken.
