4.1.3 - Consulting Resources

P1-Project Promotion
The M1-CONCEPTUAL ERM is a productive augment to presentations at conferences, workshops, or internal
institutional forums in canvassing the efficacy of the proposed solution to the research proposition. It assists in
crystalizing academic sponsorship and institutional stakeholders around the proposed solution.

P2-Design and Development

Whilst the M1-CONCEPTUAL MODEL supports preliminary modelling, the M2-LOGICAL MODEL is developed and
maintained to support the system design process and document the evolving design; a reference point for design
iteration and elaboration. The M3-PHYSICAL MODEL is developed and maintained to support the system
development and quality assurance process; a reference point for development iteration and elaboration.

P3-Implementation Consulting
The R1 – RESEARCH AND PLATFORM MODEL, R2 - RESEARCH AND PLATFORM MAP and R3 – RESEARCH WORKFLOWS play
the principal role in supporting the design and development of workflows, processes and procedures. Together
with the M2-LOGICAL MODEL they support the change management communications strategies.

SYSTEMONTOLOGY resources support solution definition, design and implementation. The M2-Logical Model provides
the basis for the solutions discourse between researcher and research Consultant, whilst the M3-Physical Model
underpins the specification discourse between research consultant and developer. O-SYSTEM ONTOLOGY provides
the principal consulting data with which to design solutions. Where requirements are not encompassed by the
existing ontology (O1-SYSTEM ENTITIES, O2-CORE CONTENT LISTS, O3-CUSTOM CONTENT LISTS and O4-SYSTEM LISTS)
solutions might be implemented either entirely based on enhancements to these ontology elements, or in concert
with module and integration developments.
The M4-LOD MODEL provides an open standard for expressing READ data structures and their relationships
when articulating integration solutions with external ontologies and system.
