Life is Just Peachy –18”doll


Crochet + knitting patterns Legs… do not break off after 2nd leg

Ch 20 and join… work 8 rows of 20 dc.

Torso: Align

Torso row 2: dc around… at this point I have 41


DNBO = Do Not Break Off dc but that is just a ballpark number.
The pattern includes pants, a top and the Work 3 more rows of dc –work 2 decreases at
messenger bag which are crocheted and the hat the back on the last dc row.
and cape which are knitted.
Work a row of sc around an elastic waistband.
The crochet involves sc, sl st and hdc. The Secure and tidy all ends.
knitted parts include knit, purl, yarnover, knit 2
together, knit 2 together Through Back Loop,
Top: use WW yarn in cream, peach and brown
and Knit one front and back (k1fb)
with a 6.mm hook
I used Bernat Super Value yarn and various
hooks. The knitting was done with 5.5mm

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each

Pants: Row 2: sc in each hdc, ch 5 tightly- forms button


with Brown Bernat Super Value (WW) and 6mm loop so you can omit this if you wish.

With peach attach the yarn in the underarm(s)
and work rows of stitches around the armhole.
For the first 2 or 3 rows, work sc in the underarm
and hdc for the rest. Continue in hdc until the
arms are long enough for your doll. You may
need to make an occasional decrease to keep the
sleeves in shape.

Decorate with a button if you wish

Row 3: work 2 FPsc in each sc (40 FPsc)

Row 4: ch 2 [or 3-1st dc in row] and work dc in


every FPsc. Secure cream but DNBO.

Row 5: with Peach, sc in 6, ch1, sc in 8, ch 1, sc


in 12, ch 1, sc in 8, ch1, sc in 6. Secure Peach
but DNBO
Row 6: Pick up cream, and work sc in every sc
and (sc, ch1, sc) in every ch 1 space. Break off
Cream and tidy all ends.

Row 7: Pick up Peach and work as for Row 6.

Row 8: Ch 2 (or 3) dc up to and into ch 1 space,


ch 4, work dc in next ch 1 space, dc up to and
into ch 1 space, ch 4, work dc in next ch 1 space,
dc to end.

Row 9: work dc in each dc but work 2 dc dec. Messenger Bag:


over the ch 4 spaces. Secure Peach but DNBO. With Peach and 5.mm hook
Ch 13
Row 10: attach Brown, and work sc in every dc. Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in 10, 3 sc in
Secure brown. last ch, sc in 10 ch (other side), work 1 more sc
in beginning stitch and join.
Row 11: Pick up the Peach and work a row of sc.
Break off Peach and tidy all ends. Rows 2 –8: work evenly in hdc joining for every
row.
Row 12: With Brown, work a row of sc.
Strap… Ch 30 ( or more if needed) and attach

Rows 1-3: knit
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 two more times and then
end with a row 3. break off and tidy away ends. Row 4: p14, k 1, p1, k2

Decorate with buttons… they are for show only Row 5: knit
and do not function other than adding weight to
keep the flap down. Repeat rows 4 and 5 until the piece measures 9
inches and you finish on a row 4 repeat.

Knit 2 more rows then bind off on a knit row and


leave a long tail for sewing up the back seam.
You should be at the back of the hat at this point.
The Brim/front is the area with the [k1, p1, k2]

Sew up the back seam and tidy all ends.

Attach yarn and crochet ties at the front where


the brim folds back. I do a ch 30 and 4 dc into
3rd ch from hook. Break off and tidy all ends.

I added a tassel but I have always loved them and


it is not necessary if you (or your little one) do
not like them.

Cape - knit
Bernat Super Value (WW) in Peach and
5.5mm needles. (6mm needles are used later
in the pattern but are not strictly needed.
They cause more flare)

Cape: Cast on 25 st and work 3 rows of [k1,


p1] ribbing.

Row 4: k2, k1f&b 21 times, k2. (46sts)

Row 5: k 8, k1f&b, k 7, k1f&b, k12, k1f&b,


k 7, k1f&b, k8. (50 sts)

Row 6: k2, purl to last 2, k2.

Row 7: k 8, k1f&b, k 7, k1f&b, k12, k1f&b,


k 7, k1f&b, k8. (50 sts)
Hat -knit
Bernat Super Value (WW) in Peach and 5.5mm Row 8: k2, purl to last 2, k2.

Change to larger needles here if you wish

Repeat rows 13 & 14 six times.

Row 25: k4, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo,


k2togTBL* repeat to last 4 sts; k4. (71 sts)

Row 26: k2, purl to last 2, k2.

Row 27: k 7, * k1f&b, k6* … end with k7. This


should put an increase over the middle yo
increase from row 26.

Row 28: bind off with knit stitch.
