I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:


 Identify the physical change
 Appreciate the importance of the knowledge on physical change in our life
through citing its applications in our community; and
 Write at least 2 examples of physical changes of matter

II. LEARNING MATERIALS

A. Subject Matter : Changes of Matter (Physical Change)


B. Reference : Science Daily Use II textbook pp. 71-72
C. Materials : candle, paper, matchstick
D. Process Skills : defining, appreciating, observing, defining
E. Values Integration : Cooperation during the teaching-learning
process.

occurs in size, shape, color, texture,
condition but the molecular composition

“Okay class, all in all physical changes


occur when objects or substances undergo
a change that does not change their
chemical composition.”

“This contrasts with the concept of


chemical change that we will be tackle
tomorrow”

1. Tearing a piece of paper into 20 pieces.

2. Letting the nail rust.

3. Cutting apple into 4 pieces.

4. Cutting wood into pieces to create a


house.
