Cruset Gymnasium School is a school in a small town, in the south of Romania, in the Oltenia region.
It has about 300 primary and secondary pupils, with teachers involved and dedicated to the teaching
profession. Our school wants to build an environment for promoting democratic values and
practices, respecting and enhancing traditions and culture. In this sense, our school wants to
integrate through an international school partnership in promoting the Romanian customs and
traditions, as part of the European cultural heritage, but also in the knowledge and capitalization of
the culture of foreign partners. Through innovative approaches, we want to make visible in our
school the European cultural heritage, to create a social harmony, based on respect and dialogue
through the valorization of different cultures. We consider that these aspects contribute to an
atmosphere suitable for qualitative learning, to orient the students towards fulfilling private and
public life by exercising as responsible citizens and to training future adults as people with high
morality, tolerant and respectful of the values of democracy and cultural heritage. The protection of
our common heritage and the promotion of cultural diversity are also very important instruments for
bringing different communities closer and enhancing dialogue between different cultures. This
project will make an awareness of our own heritage and also partner European countries' abstract
heritage, it will provide the economic and social dimension of the heritage, it will help the cultural
heritage get into our curriculum with innovative approaches and more effective transnational
practices.

Also, the Cruset Gymnasium School implements a wide variety of local, national and international
activities, carried out in cooperation with the partner schools. Through these activities and
partnerships, we aimed to use interactive methods, innovative methods, which allow learning
oriented to the preservation of cultural values. Teaching methods of our school need new
methodologies, concentrated interdisciplinary research programs, coordination and more integrated
approaches at European level in order to live the intangible cultural heritage of Europe.
