Strategic Phase:

- Determining the general order of the players for the round: Each player rolls 1d6 and adds his
party’s leader’s Ld. The player with the highest sum is first, the player with the second highest is
second and so on. If two players have equal sums, the player, controlling the leader with the
higher Ld has priority. If the leaders have equal Ld, the players continue rolling until one has a
higher sum.
- Once the general order for the round is determined, each player rolls 6-sided dice equal to the
number of models he/she controls that are standing (not knocked down, stunned or out of
action) plus his party’s leader’s Ld. The resulting dice are split in pools of sixes, fives, etc. these
are the action dice that players will be able to allocated during the activation phase
- Dice splitting: Having rolled all activation dice, any player may “split” up to half the number of
dice equal to his leader’s Ld rounded up. To “split” a die, a player exchanges a die for two dice
whose number equals the split die (e.g. exchange a 5 for a 3 and a 2). The new two dice are
added to the pool of respective dice.
- During the activation phase, players will sequentially allocate dice to their models to pay for
actions that the models can undertake. A player may not allocate more dice to a single model
during a round than the model’s initiative.
- First, the first player starts by allocating all his sixes. Then, if no other player wants to react
(reactions as explained later), the player resolves these allocated actions one model at a time.
- Then, the next player does the same and so on until all sixes are allocated. Then the whole cycle
repeats with fives, fours, etc.
- When a player has finished allocating certain dice to his/her models but before resolving the
respective actions, any other player may announce that he/she is reacting. This player may then
take any number from his/her pile of respective dice and allocated them among models.
However, to get an activation with any die, the player needs to pass an initiative test with the
respective model for each die allocated. Each passed test grants the model an activation that
precedes any activations by the models, controlled by the player, to whose actions the
reactionary player acts.
- If multiple players react, they react in order according to the general order of play.
- When all dice are allocated and all the respective actions are resolve, the round ends.
