LAB EXPERIMENT : DEFLECTION OF BEAM

OEL LEVEL : 1

OBJECTIVE : To determine the deflection of simply supported beam with concentrated point
load.

PROCEDURE : Please refer video of deflection of beam experiment and read procedures in
lab manual for better understanding.

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSIONS

Plot the graph of load versus deflection for experimental and theoretical result.

Check the accuracy of experimental result with respect to theoretical values.

Comment on the shape of the graph. State the relationship between deflection of beam and
applied load?
