I. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION

This section should provide a clear introduction of the current situation/s in the chosen community beneficiary related to the
identified need/s; and of the rationale or underlying reason/s for recommending provision/s and/or solution/s to address the
identified need/s. Moreover, this section should also describe, at least, the following:
a. Need/s, problem/s, issue/s, and/or concern/s which the proposal seeks to address or resolve
b. Relationship of the proposal to other local, national, and/or international development programs, strategies and/or
policies by the government and/or other public and private organizations, institutions, offices, etc.
c. Published scientific and/or investigatory bases of series of activities in the proposal
d. Community involvement in the project planning, implementation, and evaluation (discuss the details in section III.C.)

II. OBJECTIVES

A. General objectives

This section should present the purposes and/or goals of the project for the good of the chosen community and of the
implementing class. Such purposes and/or goals must be aligned to STEM strand and Immersion course objectives and
standards; to SLU core values and vision-mission; and to relevant local, national, and/or international objectives.
General objectives are considered as long-term which can be realized further in the future through the implementation of the
project.
This section also sets the vision-mission statement for the chosen community.

B. Immediate/Specific objectives

This section should present specific purposes and/or goals of the project which are directly linked to the chosen community and
to the implementing class.
These specific objectives can be attained or completed in a short period of time or in the immediate, instant, or near future of the
project implementation. Such are considered then as short-term that are relevant to the attainment of the general objectives.

III. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN

A. Expected project results

This section should describe the expected and feasible accomplishments of the class after the project implementation. It must
also include possible risks and gaps that can be brought about by the project implementation.

B. Project activities and work plan

This section should describe how each project objective will be carried out during the project implementation in terms of all
activities and outputs to be done; of schedules, timing and/or duration; and of class and community personnel responsible for
each activity.
This can all be organized in a tabular presentation.

C. Project beneficiaries

This section should include who and how many people are expected to benefit from the project, both directly and indirectly. It
should also discuss specific roles of the beneficiaries throughout the project from planning, to implementation, and to evaluation.

D. Project implementors and sponsors

This section should include who and how many people in the project, except the project beneficiaries, are expected to organize,
administer, facilitate, operate, etc. It should also include names and number of sponsors and/or partners. In addition,
coordination plans and deals in line with effective project management among project implementors and sponsors should be
discussed.

IV. PROJECT MONITORING AND ASSESSMENT

This section should discuss proposed mechanisms and procedures for monitoring of project operations to ensure that activities
occur as planned, that they remain directed towards stated objectives, and that appropriate corrective actions are taken if
required.

Specifically, the discussion should indicate who will be responsible for preparing periodic project progress and final technical
reports and for the accounting of expenditures. All projects need to be evaluated on completion. This section should also identify
the group who will responsible for this task, as well as how intended beneficiaries will be involved.

V. PROJECT BUDGET

This section should provide a detailed line item budget which includes all budget items with their particulars, sources, and costs.
This section should also provide a budget sourcing which details the contribution of the project implementors and sponsors, and
of the school.

VI. PROPOSED TIMELINE

This should be an overview of the workflow under specified dates all throughout the project.

This should include all necessary documents such as:


 Communication letters
 Permits
 Floor plan
 Construction designs
 Inventories
 Related school forms
 Pictures
