One of the rarest of collectable instruments, this guitar was made for export by one of the great makers to emerge from the Manuel Ramírez shop. This particular instrument is made with simple binding and rosette in the style of many Santos Hernandez and Hermann Hauser guitars of the same period. 1975 Miguel Rodriguez Cedar Soundboard/Brazilian Rosewood Back & Sides This is one of the most beautiful Churchdoor models we’ve ever represented. It has enormous power, excellent sustain and very fast attack (like a flamenco). These instruments are played by numerous concert players around the world The sound is rich, bold and enchanting. Playability is excellent — most notably, the Romero family, who have been using with very low action. Condition is nearly all original, having Miguel Rodriguez guitars since the early 60s. In fact, this been recently refretted and some polish added. A small hairline instrument originally belonged to Pepe Romero. The finish crack in the top (parallel to the fingerboard) was recently on the top is original and there has been a tap plate repaired by Yuris Zeltins, returning the guitar to perfect, installed (common with guitars used by the Romeros) playable condition. A very fine and well-preserved example which has helped protect the surface. from one of the greatest luthiers of the early 20th century.
