1. What strategies do you use for disruptive students in your class?

I believe that the best strategy to employ to students with disruptive behaviour is through the
giving of rewards and punishment. But first, counselling must be done between the ‘problem’
students and the teacher. If these students commit misbehaviours, then, appropriate
punishment procedures must be done to straighten crooked attitudes.

2. How do you assess what your students have learned?

In any classroom situation, assessment is one of the most important evidences of learning. I
usually use a mixture of paper and pencil tests, rubrics, criteria, checklists, portfolio, and peer
and self-assessment tools.

3. How would you work with students who are consistently failing, unmotivated and does not like
school?
I believe, that as a teacher, it is my duty to understand and accept every learner for whatever
they bring with them in the classroom. It has always been my practice to investigate the causes
of students who fail, feel unmotivated and does not like school. If a student is failing, then he or
she must be given remedial and enrichment and dialogues with concerned parents must also be
done in order for both parties to work well with one another for the betterment of every
learner.

4. Have ever taught a multilevel classroom, how do you manage it so you address the needs of all
students?
Honestly, I haven’t experienced teaching in a multi-level classroom. But what I will do if in case
I’ll be put into a multi-level classroom is that the class should be split based on content, or year
level. This is to allow students in one group work with self-access resources while the teacher
teaches the other group. Moreover, students must be given tasks at different levels according to
their abilities.

5. Have you used IEP, for what purpose and how is it helpful to students?
What I can remember is I have somehow undergone a sort of IEP with one of our pupils before
who has special needs. Supplementary services were provided to the pupil wherein a portion of
the day is allotted for the child to be taught apart from his or her typically-developing peers. This
helped the pupil cope with his lessons and eventually made him master the necessary content
standards. (Mam, I am referring to Jay-jay here. hehe)

6. Why should I hire you? What can you contribute to our school?
I got three things with me Ma’am/Sir which I believe can help me get into this job:
experience, dedication, and open-mindedness.

7. How well do you work with people, have you ever done team teaching?

I haven’t done team teaching yet but as a teacher for almost ___ years now, I have worked and
dealt with different people from all walks of life and I have learned through experience that the
most important trait one needs to possess in order to achieve harmonious relationships with
others is the having the value of respect for others.
