The second written assignment

Current situation in the country and in the world

The whole world is in a very bad situation right now. People are afraid and are causing worldwide
panic. I don't remember when it was this bad. The streets are completely empty and people are
panic buying and stockpiling supplies for them and their families.

This coronavirus is making a lot of trouble for the whole world. Countries are closing borders, the
economy is crashing, everything is empty. It's not safe to go out at all, people are advised to stay at
home and avoid any interactions with other people. Most people can't work, only those who can
work from home are working. Everything is canceled. All sport events are canceled in almost every
country, but there are few exceptions like Turkey. I think that the main reason this became such a big
problem is because it wasn't taken seriously by everyone when it just started. Now people are taking
it seriously and are trying to do something about it but there's not much you can do except isolate
yourself and minimise the spread of the virus. In my country there are less than 30 confirmed cases
but that number will probably rise because people are being ignorant and are just making the
situation even worse for everyone. In times like these, the biggest heroes are the medical staff,
doctors, nurses and volunteers. They risk their health and lives to help others. The biggest problem s
the panic that the media is causing, some people are losing their minds like it's the end of the world.
But this situation is not all bad. The pollution is significantly decreasing in certain areas and some
cities in China can see the clear skies for the first time in a long time. It's also forcing people to take
better care of them and their personal higiene. Most schools are online now, it's harder to learn that
way but it's necessary and it's the best solution we have right now. We don't know exactly how long
will it be like this. But our health is the most important thing right now so we have to be patient. This
problem will not go away by itself. We need to come together and help each other, we shouldn't be
selfish or ignorant, the problem is real and needs to be taken seriously. There is no cure at the
moment so the only way is to isolate ourselves and prevent further spread of the virus. We have to
take care of our sick and elderly, because the virus might not be deadly for us, but for them it could
be fatal. It's possible that we don't experience any symptoms but still carry that virus and infect
someone else who won't be that lucky.

The solution will not come by itself. We need to find it and the only way to find the solution is if we
work together for the better of humanity and our future. We, as a species, survived even worse
things, we will get through this as well. This outbreak might help us realise what really matters in our
lives. Money, fame, success, none of that matters, everyone can get sick and will need help. I hope
we learn something from all of this so it doesn't happen again in a few years.
