Re: Notice of Schedule and Compensation Change - U.S.
In light of the unexpected Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Weber Shandwick (the “Company’) has
decided to implement certain measures in order to address the impact on our business.
The Company anticipates that your role will not require you to work a full-time schedule, and
consequently, the Company will be reducing your salary to reflect your reduced work schedule. Starting
May 18, 2020 and until further notice, you will not be expected to perform more than 60% of your normal
work schedule. As a result, starting May 18, 2020, your base salary will be reduced by 40% to an
annualized rate equal to payable semi-monthly, in accordance with the Company's standard
payroll practices.
‘As a result of your reduced schedule, your new reduced salary changes your employment status to non-
exempt. As a non-exempt employee, you are now eligible for overtime pay. Overtime is paid as follows:
+ Time and a half or 1.5 times hourly rate (fulltime annual salary divided by 2080) for all hours
worked in excess of eight hours up to and including 12 hours in any workday, and for the first
eight hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of work in a work week; and
+ Double-time or 2 times hourly rate (fulltime annual salary divided by 2080) for all hours worked in
excess of 12 hours in any workday and for all hours worked in excess of eight on the seventh
consecutive day of work in a work week.
While we don't anticipate you will be required to work overtime, please keep in mind that overtime must
always be pre-approved by your manager. If approval for overtime cannot be obtained in advance, you
must alert your manager as soon as possible.
The Company will reassess our financial situation on a quarterly basis and will communicate if your
original salary and schedule can be reinstated prior to the end of the year. We will keep you informed, as
appropriate, regarding any further changes.
Please note that your PTO accrual will be prorated to reflect your reduced schedule. You will remain
benefits eligible as long as you work 20 hours per week. You will continue to be eligible for the same
benefits (including health insurance benefits) currently offered by the Company
