NHS is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding
high school students. More than just honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those
students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship,
service, leadership, and character

 Mathematics & Science for Minority Students (MS)^2 (Grades 9,10,11)


A three-summer residential program held on the Phillips Academy campus,
(MS)^2 provides STEM enrichments as well as college counseling for talented
African American, Latinx, and Native American students who have a
demonstrated financial need. The competitive and rigorous program is free of
charge for the thirty-five 9th grade scholars selected each year

As president, I helped share students’ ideas, interest, and concerns with
teachers and school principals. Often also helping raise funds for school-wide
activities, including social events, community projects, helping people in need
and school reform

As tribal secretary, my duty was to keep charge of organizing the official
records of Student Tribal Council and taking notes at meetings (“minutes”). I
was responsible for scheduling all appointments for the Student Council
