ABOUT
Ubuntu Budgie is a proud official member of the Ubuntu family. They combine the
simplicity and elegance of the Budgie interface to produce a traditional desktop orientated
distro with a modern paradigm. Budgie is a desktop environment focused on having a clean
and yet powerful desktop without unnecessary bloat.
Fully functional out of the box, they include the best available Linux applications that
makes you (our community) productive immediately. Backed by the powerful Debian derived
Ubuntu repositories, customisation is just a 'point & click' away from allowing us to tailor the
desktop to our way of working. Ubuntu Budgie comes with a collection of apps that enables
us to work on everyday tasks and be productive.

CONCLUSION
On our computer, Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 visibly outperformed the standard Ubuntu
18.04. This, of course, can be credited to the fact that Budgie desktop environment is much
more lighter than GNOME desktop environment and as a result, is faster.
Of all the flavours available, for us at least, Budgie version strikes the sweet spot
between speed and aesthetics.
Since Ubuntu Budgie is still Ubuntu under the hood, an unquestionable stability can
be expected. The repositories have thoroughly tested packages which deliver a high degree
of stability above else.
