Answer the following questions:

Question1: Identify five common project risk strategies employed to address threats that your
project may face. Give an example of each.
Question 2: Projects are often completed late. Describe the techniques you would use as a project
manager to improve the accuracy and reliability of your project schedule.

Answers:

1. First project risk is about financial. Example of this is the source of funds. We need to
have a stable funding to support the project.

Second is the safety. We need to have safe operations for us to have a continuous project.
Example of safety risks are health risk, improper working conditions, hygiene issues and
safety in the workplace. Safety risk includes all the measures that are taken in order to
ensure complete safety employees during the work.

Third is on the technical side of the operations in the project. These are the technical
problems we encounter that will make the project operations stop. Example of this were
availability of equipment, loss of equipment, and failure of equipment used in the project.

Fourth is the strategic risk. Strategic risk management strategy includes the steps that are
taken in order to mitigate the failure of any strategies that are developed for executing a
project. For example, inappropriate use of funds, improper direction for achieving the
goals of an organization etc. Poor management of project can result in complete failure of
the project. The aims and objectives of the project cannot be achieved due to improper
management of project by project manager.

Last but not the least is the data safety. The loss of data at any stage of project execution is
one of the most prominent project risk faced during its implementation. The project may
result to stopping of operations due to the loss of data.

2. To avoid late completion of the project, I will use Gantt Chart to monitor and schedule the
works that should be done. By using it, I can use the time to the best advantage of the project.
Monitoring of work every day should be strictly observed. I will record the progress of the
project daily to analyze better planning at strategize better implantation. I will employ model
leaders to lead and organize each sector of work and be done accurately and reliable.
